Banksy Signature, by des77 on Jul 21, 2011 14:50:58 GMT 1, In think people are looking too much into this. Surely if other people need guidance for his tag, the outline would be visible on all the prints ? and if it is a guide..... why hasn't it been used ?
If it is for copying tags, he needs new crew.

Banksy Signature, by nah on Jul 21, 2011 15:06:47 GMT 1, as someone said maybe the colour version was originally meant to be unsigned, in which case a printed sig would make sense. it does have the largest edition of the 3 after all. hell maybe he just signed the digital file on a whim and didnt think to remove it before printing.

Banksy Signature, by lifeonwalls on Jul 21, 2011 16:32:45 GMT 1, 750 always struck me as an odd edition size for a SIGNED print.
As it's been said before - probably meant to be unsigned but they changed their mind?
Is this 'issue' only on colored Trolleys? Didn't notice anything on NBG.

Banksy Signature, by spaceshrew on Jul 21, 2011 16:54:22 GMT 1, I think the last of the original signatures was Morons or Applause, so the first of the new style was Trolleys if I'm not mistaken?

Banksy Signature, by Fuzzyduck121 on Jul 21, 2011 17:34:55 GMT 1, oooh seems ive stirred up a decent debate which is always good. My view is possibly an unsigned run altered at the last minute or a rushed attempt at toying with the idea of a new signature with an over written by hand thingy...either way stop and search that was released 8 weeks later was freehand so whatever idea it was didnt last very long or somebody in the Banksy camp thought it looked shit....

Banksy Signature, by skylarkin on Jul 21, 2011 17:47:05 GMT 1, IIRC this print came out as Banksy was either in LA or Bethlehem, and as such I was pretty hacked off as I had a laugh now and a wsm and this was to be my first signed. The sig looked like it was printed and then signed by the office as Banksy wasn't in the country. I have got over it now, and think what the hell its a 'signed' print. But esthetically it isn't as pleasing as the real thing.....If all prints are now signed like this, then I put forward its due to POW never knowing where the artist will be at any one time and so have the ability to knock out signed prints as per the yearly plan...cynical..? me..? away with ya!
