For sale-BANKSY GWB, by artforartssake on Sept 7, 2011 20:50:35 GMT 1, Strange that Chief advertised this same print (see thread further down page) for GBP 4750 back in June and was told it was "worth every penny", etc. Yet, Imkloot expects GBP 250 more and is ripped to shreds..... Too true. There are several well established members on this board who clearly know other personally and find it necessary to comment with over the top praise on each others sales thread. (I'm not saying chief is in this soggy biscuit club). It's obvious who they are as it's such a regular thing. It seems the longer some members have been around the more back slapping they get. It also seems that newer members are lambasted and ridiculed if they dare try to sell something on here. Ive seen it time and time again. It makes me cringe when members who have blatantly flipped prints for big profits feel it necessary to snipe on other members for sale threads with comments like 'Ooo, nice return' and 'didn't you just buy that print?' when they themselves do it but on a far larger scale with a much bigger profit. I was on this board for a year until I tried to pass on my first piece of art work. I was asking the going ebay rate for a print but got slapped down by a couple of toss monkeys who decided I was asking too much for my Banksy. They ruined my thread with comments like 'I sold mine for x amount three months ago, why should yours be worth more' ......'too expensive' etc. **** the lot of 'em I say. If you don't like the price then move on. If it's outrageously priced then it won't sell, with or without snide comments from people that should know better about the forum rules.
After watching this forum develop over the years, sadly, you are bang on.

You said in earlier posts that you had offers over ยฃ4k, maybe ยฃ4.25k. If you are serious about selling you may want to consider accepting one of those offers. You wont get much more on ebay and you will have fees which will mean you will end up with less than ยฃ4k. As for your price its entirely up to you. You are not forcing anyone to buy so why you received grief beats me, I wouldnt take too much notice. Good luck with the sale, its a stunning print.

I would hate that! Open and up front with all chat. I feel like Obey is run like a prison. It is really hard to learn from the other members on that site. I have learned so much here because of the banter.

lets face it if the trend continues and this truly is banksys best most sought after print and his work continues to rise against all odds in the biggest recession for decades . the snipers will truly eat there own shorts that they did not buy the bloody print for 5k .
lets face it how many of these come up for sale these days per anum .
i remember paying 600.00 for my signed one and thinking that was expensive but i took the plunge because i genuinely liked it ..
where will the market take this too , who knows time will tell

I remember having 4 or 5 Banksy prints (sure some signed) placed in front of me at Art Republic in Brighton years ago way before any hype.....trying to decide if ยฃ90 was to much to pay for an image from someone I had never heard of. I actually remember calling my mate to see if he had heard of Banksy. Wish I had snapped every single one up now. Im not bitter though! hahah!

Which is pretty easy when you are not face to face and can be rude anonymously.
I think the comments on price etc whether positive or negative is fine as long as not so rude as surley that the point of the forum.
People can give there opinion on what they like. Just do not think they should be so hard on people. If 5k is too much IYO people are welcome to say.
I think some of the stuff advertised on here is way over priced do not say so but I do think it. Not commenting on this one either but as a lot of people sell on here do think they would not like the same abuse on there thread.
Not comments like way too much or way to high but some of the comments are just out of order and then some one takles it even further.
