Sainsburys Soupcan 1/5, by Montubu7 on Apr 3, 2007 23:00:20 GMT 1, No offence mate ( or take offence if you like) but that seems like straight up bagging if you ask me, if you are struggling for extra funds due to an impending house purchase why buy it in the 1st place!

Sainsburys Soupcan 1/5, by blackasmarch on Apr 3, 2007 23:27:03 GMT 1, I dont think this is bagging. I bought 1 of these canvases and love it to bits but when we bought it noone knew that they would ever be worth anything. real baggers would have been buying up faile or dan baldwin not elliot.
Now that all the elliot canvases and prints have sold out and are going for quite a lot of money its easy to knock it but i reckon that the buyers of the first prints deserve some credit for supporting the artist and if simongoff makes some money from it then good luck to him.

Think what you like fella, I have quite a bit of art and this was the last in so 1st out. I saw that the previous one went for a fair old price and although as stated do not expect to get that thought it was a good chance to get some cash back in.
Not sure why people have to constantly have to explain their reasons for selling on here as quite a few people sell on here. Would you have made such comments if the price was not so good?
Have you ever sold any art ?
Regards
Simon

Very good points and wished I had made them myself..... ;D
I have Micallef, Dan Baldwin, Banksy, Walker, Insect etc etc just waiting for the walls to get them all hung now......there are all staying in my collection.

Sainsburys Soupcan 1/5, by sausageboonwee on Apr 3, 2007 23:36:43 GMT 1, I guess it's all just fuel for discussion - certainly seems to fuel this forum anyway. Is everyone completely honest and straight on this forum? I think we all know the answer to that.

Sainsburys Soupcan 1/5, by Montubu7 on Apr 3, 2007 23:39:48 GMT 1, Plenty Simon, Thanks! I have also given prints to forum members at cost price so i have a good balance.
Im not sure where in my post i mentioned anything about price, i dont give a Rats if it goes for ยฃ1k+ but last in last out & timescale reeks of bagging to me, thats MY opinion!
As for baggers going for everything thats 'In' i would argue that its changed considerably & that almost anything is there for the taking, win some/lose some.

Sainsburys Soupcan 1/5, by simongoff on Apr 4, 2007 0:08:11 GMT 1, Its your opinion mate and you are entitled to it. My point about price is that you only decide to pipe up now the price is at a good price.
I will sell and buy anything I choose and like Blackasmarch said, how was I to know that these would be worth any money, it seems to be going well and I am cashing in, there are no rules against it.
I suggest we just leave it that and if it bothers you that much I also suggest you stay out of this thread.
