He lives and breathes his art.
No hype, no 6kยฃ charcoal drawings, no 6k$ prints with Homer Simpson on them.
He puts all of himself in every piece and in everything he does.
His shows are absolutely brilliant and well thought out, and he is always involved in helping people around him one way or another.
You wonโt make any money off his art, and long may it last

I like in principal but not sure this one works very well.

Ultimately you are getting something closer to an editioned OG with this type of print where he screens just the background

From plastics to politics, to be apart of society these days means accepting the fact that things unwanted will inevitably find their way into our internal systems. These days, itโs hard to unplug and even harder to ignore when so much is at stake. These days, itโs easy to feel like weโre in a daze.
For Brooklyn artist RAE and his latest body of work, โThese Dazeโ, the feeling of social despair, circular motion and chaos reign supreme. His frenetic, paintings and found-object sculptures, mostly made from plastic waste, are an affirmation of the times we live in.
Class structure, marginalization, patriotism, who fits where? RAE continues to search for answers inside the world of his mixed media, โaction-likeโ paintings only to find himself coming back to the same question: โHow can we rise above it allโ? For RAE, it means not forgetting where you came from or at the very least acknowledging the attempts being made to separate us, gaslight us, compartmentalize us and track us. It can also mean the after-life, a different planet or period of time or the fact that the only way out for some is risk, chance or luck.
This current state of societal flux and uncertainty is also represented in the play between boldness of lines and the unsteadiness of others. The contrast between shine and matte, and the virtual โmelting potโ of materials made up of inks, enamels, gold leaf and colors that pop, are juxtaposed with more muted tones, keeping in line with some of the more somber themes portrayed in RAEโs work. His figures and thoughts make attempts to be a bit more literal at times, only to soon recede behind and intended โdazedโ blurring and whitewashing of imagery and text.
For RAEโs three-dimensional pieces, collecting discarded items from the streets has always been a medium source, but this time his focus was on materials that reflect our โthrow awayโ culture and the risks and rewards they symbolize. Dice, shopping bags, lost jewelry and pop-color bits of plastic once thought to have little purpose left but to be added to a landfill, are used to tell stories of peopleโs dreams, desires, impulses and struggles. These emotions mirror the way in which RAE painstakingly and meticulously create his sculptural pieces, reclaiming scraps of wood, pounding metal into shapes and assembling it all together using hundreds of tiny nails.
For RAE, โThese Dazeโ will soon pass. How we process it will be based on who we were before and how we want things to be going forward.

An interactive, immersive art installation that takes you inside the workings of a facility that creates and spreads fake news.
HOW DOES "FAKE NEWS" START? HOW IS IT SPREAD?
"Fake News" is the biggest threat to democracy. Around the world there are stories being fabricated in "troll factories" and spread by "trolls" and "bots" for the purposes of confusing the public as to what actual FACTS really are. Whether you refer to it as gaslighting, ideological warfare, disinformation or active measures, they are all one and the same--- LIES.
These "troll factories" are primarily based in Russia but individuals in governments and private companies around the world are fabricating their own fake news and using certain media outlets and social media platforms to spread their lies to more individuals than ever. These made-up stories are created to help push agendas, discredit individuals or groups, widen divisions and to make it appear that public opinion is more "pro" or "anti" an issue. Regardless of their intended purpose, in the end they all have the same thing in common--- they are FAKE.

FAKE NEWS:"The Troll Factory Project" will educate, entertain and inform the public about what actually occurs inside one of these facilities. Viewers who attend the exhibition will be guided through a series of immersive, artistic installations and visual performances to see up-close how stories are fabricated, cultivated and spread. From the celebrity to the political, we will follow the thread from conception to delivery of all things FAKE.
Utilizing artistic license this exhibition will go beyond a room full of computers and programers and expand into other areas of research. Think of this "factory" as a "testing lab" in which staff members with varying skill-sets are able workshop ideas and perform experiments that range from those with "potential" to others which appear to be seemingly bizarre. Nothing will be off limits.
For those unable to attend the "The Troll Factory Project" in person, there will be ample opportunities to connect on-line. Through video content, scheduled live streaming events and guest speakers, the goal will be to make this project as accessible as possible. If the funding goal is exceeded, the possibility of a virtual reality component will also be considered. Aiming for Spring 2020 and free to the public.
