Id just like to let you all know about my first screenprint release coming soon.

Here are a few quick preliminary details - Subject to change...
Karl Read - "Independent Woman"
18" x 24" SCREEN PRINT
Edition of around 100
(Hand Finshed prints also)
The print is 5 colors with a satin over print on Coventry Cotton Rag 250 GSM Paper
Cost of less than $100 shipped in US (a little more for international)
Printed by the great people who print Dave Kinsey and BLK/MRKT Prints!!!

As some of you guys know, i painted this a year ago at upfest and supercans festival.
The reason why i never released this a year ago is i wanted to make this print affordable, due to the amount of colours i was finding that quite difficult. Another option was to do some plates screened and some hand painted, it was'nt worth doing. I might as well of hand painted everything again, time and cost would of been a major factor.
Iv been in talks with a few printers but it just didnt feel right.
Over the past few months Iv been speaking to the guys at CMYK projects on this and they have been great.
This is taken from an orginal i painted so i wanted all the colours and detail of the print to stay as close to the orginal as possible without it being a giclee or making it to expensive.
More details on exact edition size and price coming very soon.

Here is a photo of the actual print from the gallery. Im told the picture quality doesnt do it justice.
I think the colours will be bolder in person. Hopefully more to come soon.

@ curiousgeorge, as far as im aware, its still up there. Along with the piece i did the year before (the tiger thats my avatar.) Im pretty sure, that both of those pieces will be painted over on saturday.
Here it is for anyone that didnt see it: Stencil/spraypaint on 8x4 ft ply (i think)
