I wanted this print to go along with the Single Mum print but it sold out immediately. The STIK print is a great example of affordable art that is wall friendly from an artist with a great story. Trying to profit from a print by STIK is like trying to re-sell pre packaged meals from the World Food Bank!!!!!

3. I have not really understood the time factor between a sale of a piece and a flip. If someone waited a month - is that OK? If someone waited 6 months - is that OK?
4. I have bought art, even seen them in the flesh at a show and then brought them home and found that it was bigger than I thought!
5. If he had said in his orig post that he was selling at cost (+P&P) it would have been snapped up
6. If he said he would sell at ยฃ200 (+P&P) it would have been snapped up.
IMO - don't always have a go at a flipper - at least they are offering on the Forum ... don't scare everyone away ... otherwise what is being offered will reduce and reduce.
If you do not want to make an offer then don't. If you want to offer then do, ie cost @ ยฃ175. If you want to offer ยฃ200 then do. A harsh reality in life is that you need both a seller and a buyer and they alone - if they have a sale - agree between themselves what something is worth.
Against this it is only an edition of 3, so he must have really wanted it to be fastest finger first!

I was thinking about that point earlier this week when looking at the prices that the big league artists go for on here and the views towards flippers. It seems that CYWs etc are fine to flip pretty soon after being bought, yet Stiks aren't? I'm not sure I get the unwritten rules of this board just yet. Also, not sure that the print in question here is that flippable anyway. The queue at the launch which I was at was hardly Banksyish.
I've got no connection with the o.p either. But if he can find room for the print after all and just doesn't like the version, I'd be happy to do a swap with my blue one

I agree if you dont like it dont buy it, i don't like stiks prints, dont see the point in them and i much prefer his work on the streets.
Saying that i think alot of people do like it Dan, which is what riles everyone up. People wanted this release and this one was obviously bought to make money off those people, rather than being bought by a fan of the work. Its a shame IMO.
The right thing to do would be to either a) offer it on here for cost/at least state a price or b) take it to the bay and see what you get.

On reflection i'm glad I missed out and got an original sketch on card after chatting to him, I feel that stiks' work is better when it's original IMO!
Good luck with the sale though as it does give people the opportunity to get their hands on it...might leave a sour taste though if it's not a fair price!
Best bet is to offer it at cost as I don't think it's a particularly profitable piece...failing that eBay and see what happens...
