Inside Art Collectors Homes, by honestcrooks on Dec 9, 2016 11:14:41 GMT 1, I have that Parra brush show poster too, but noticed you cropped out the chunk of text in it! Good way to bring the brush into focus but it would break my heart to cut the poster up. Anyway, very nice wall, am doing a revamp of a small room at home and thinking to fill it with art like that. Hi Natstan! Thank you! Yup, it is indeed from the Parra Asphalt poster. I didn't like the total image of the print, but thought the brush was something that could work well framed as a stand alone. Just a hint: If you plan on doing a complete wall, be sure to draw a mockup in a program like Adobe Illustrator or something like that, so you are sure (well, 99% sure ) that every print fills the right gaps. This is how I've done it and I'm very glad I did

Inside Art Collectors Homes, by honestcrooks on Dec 9, 2016 11:37:27 GMT 1, Thanks again for all the nice comments about our printwall at home! For those that are interested in something more than printed art, here's another part of the living room with a little backstory.
This large wooden "box" was originally designed to be a display for my designer toys. But from the moment this was ready, I got tired of collecting toys and sold everything At that moment, I had no place to keep a large part of my framed prints that didn't get up on the wall yet, so it became a storage box for a while:
After I moved most of the frames to the studio upstairs, the display box felt a bit empty, so we filled it up with cushions and it became a reading nook/seating to watch movies on the projector. (This is the left part of the reading nook, and for the cyclists amongst us, this is my other baby in front of it )
And this is a table/armrest/bookshelf at the other side inside the reading nook with one of my favorite Parra sculpts ever:
But I have to admit, from time to time, I still use it as a storage box (until my wife makes me drag them upstairs and store them again. )

Mine is a much smaller scale compared to yours... just put everything up in this revamped little reading room last night.

Inside Art Collectors Homes, by benjoese on Jan 8, 2017 0:26:02 GMT 1, Here's our place (looking tidy for instagram!) Some amazing collections and houses on this thread. Makes me want to do something else with our end wall (currently got some neon lights from a kebab shop on it). I'd love to board the wall over and commission someone to paint it at some point or get some big canvasses up.

It doubles as our workspace so it's not as tidy at the moment! Need to do something about getting our art framed and on the walls soon.

Inside Art Collectors Homes, by Loves Me Some Art on Jan 8, 2017 2:54:26 GMT 1, This thread is fantastic... very inspirational. I get the vibe that most of these pads are children free but have seen a few with children rooms etc... I find it so hard with young kids to balance the fear of them smashing anything i put on the wall with enjoying the art I own.
But again bravo to all who shared. I think I've gotten thru about 30 of the 80 pages and they have been great.

The building was were the sails were made for Nelson's Victory battleship, so probably quite some history there. Unfortunately there are no more of these. It has some great character though!
