Inside Art Collectors Homes, by Howard Johnson on Sept 25, 2017 0:35:32 GMT 1, Just threw together this wall in my office. It's a work in progress but I kinda like the uniquely "American" feel all the pieces have. Top two by Shepard Fairey, bottom sides are posters by Barbara Kruger, and bottom middle middle is a Jasper Johns lithograph.

Inside Art Collectors Homes, by Born Again on Sept 26, 2017 21:50:26 GMT 1, Just picked up some new pieces from Framing Devil and got them all hung up. The one and only Saber 24k Rebels Flag. I met up with him on Sunday and had an awesome conversation, big things coming soon. Added a few new pieces to the Salon Wall and did a little rehang. My first Penny. Definitely won't be the last Karl Read is the real deal. Absolutely love waking up to this I can see this Pokras Lampas from the living room and love how much the colors pop. As always, the Framing Devil did an awesome job.
That Pokras is niceeee

I tend to think he's reasonable, especially for the quality. I think the Pokras was $300 or so with tax and it's basically 3'x2' with museum acrylic (not anti-reflective). You might wait 3-5 weeks after you drop it off but he's the best in Southern California and gets pieces from all over the world to frame. I doubt you'd be able to better anywhere

Awesome thank you! I take prints that I just need a cheap clean frame to Allen Jeffries (super nice guy) but don't wan't to take my Kaws pieces there.

Inside Art Collectors Homes, by bsimkin on Sept 29, 2017 15:02:06 GMT 1, Thanks, Eric. I'm really pleased with how the wall turned out. Always nice to get some validation from an artist. I'm surprised I've seen so few Provocateur prints framed, too. It's an underrated image imo; feel like the Fragments of Faile era doesn't get enough love for it's more simplified, text-less compositions. Faile obviously still has heart for it as they just put a wall up of this image on the building of their alma mater (Minneapolis College of Art and Design)

Inside Art Collectors Homes, by pr.yu on Sept 30, 2017 19:50:44 GMT 1, The boss has decreed that I only get one room to put stuff up (I'm hoping to wear her down when she see stuff she really likes up there that can then migrate out of said room). Anyway, picked up a bunch of stuff from the framer today and finished Wall #1. Images below. Again, excuse the glare. Couldn't spring for the Tru Vue just yet. I'll upgrade over time. Hopefully Wall #2 is done by the end of the weekend and I can post pics of that, too. A lot more math involved in that one. Shoutout to The Silence and Howard Johnson for making this one come true.

Great job hanging your art.
All three pieces complement each other. Their colors work very well with each other, along with the top notch frame and matting selection.
The Lichtenstein is amazing! What size is it? 36x36? It would make a statement hung anywhere. Great piece.

Thanks. The Obama is 36 inches! I think the Lichtenstein is 52 inches. It was a print from a 1982 fundraiser for the Parrish Museum in NYC. I had the framer fold under the portion of the print with his name on it. No small feat lifting that up onto the wall. I think the colors work well together, plus I tried to make it look as though the vulnerable woman was protected by Progress and Dolk's badass little girl.

Stunning. The Lichtenstein may be the showstopper, but the frame on the dolk is subtly gorgeous!
