Adam Neate 'Dimensional Paintings' - October 2011, by Deleted on Oct 5, 2011 1:41:36 GMT 1, I'll be travelling up from Bristol on Saturday with two of my kids. I'm really excited to see Adams new work. The posters both look fantastic. So be happy to grab one of each of those. I'll be there about 9.30am, anyone fancy a chat?.

Adam Neate 'Dimensional Paintings' - October 2011, by adewilliams on Oct 5, 2011 15:34:55 GMT 1, just been and it was as expected - amazing. I hadn't forgotten what a great space Elms is but it was nice to see the place again. Adam is in a league of his own, the work is stunning, some nice little surprises and little twists in the direction and evolution of his work. I'm sorry not to be able to post any pics but I leave that to someone with some skills in photography. Having said that I don't know how you can do justice to those 'dimensional paintings' in a 2D image. Just brilliant.

Adam Neate 'Dimensional Paintings' - October 2011, by curiousgeorge on Oct 5, 2011 16:14:42 GMT 1, Thanks for the quality pictures!
I can see so many artists influences in his work, yet it still holds strong to his own signature if that makes sense.Another seamless transition for Neate imo

Adam Neate 'Dimensional Paintings' - October 2011, by Deleted on Oct 5, 2011 17:28:15 GMT 1, stunning. chills all over me.
Did anyone talk to Paul? Would love to hear if the 3/4d work is still meant as a study or as "complete pieces". Love them anyway.
but this
will stay in my mind for the coming weeks. lovely.

Adam Neate 'Dimensional Paintings' - October 2011, by connecta1 on Oct 5, 2011 18:15:28 GMT 1, ...funnily enough, spent a long time chatting with the bearded chap (is this Paul?) over this one jopkop.
Difficult to make out from the pic, but just below the wire 'necklace' there are horizontal slashes on the canvas with a red back-board just showing through. A really small detail but as soon as it was pointed out you immediately see it as a ribcage and the whole thing takes on a new, (ahem)... dimension.

if the bearded chap you mention is in this commercial than it is Paul!

Adam Neate 'Dimensional Paintings' - October 2011, by HRE on Oct 5, 2011 20:54:30 GMT 1, Neate never does disappoint, I hope that one day he does another cheaper way of getting hold of his work, maybe a small run of produced 3d work, now that would be interesting.

Although the 'crucifixion' does look like an empty toilet roll.

Adam Neate 'Dimensional Paintings' - October 2011, by Deleted on Oct 6, 2011 15:25:44 GMT 1, in another thread it was posted that the pieces are 50k gbp.. that is an awfull lot of money, especially considering the latest neate results at auction (not so good)....
I always defended Elms' way of working, but I cant see any good coming from pricing these works this high.

Adam Neate 'Dimensional Paintings' - October 2011, by sand on Oct 6, 2011 21:27:17 GMT 1, The show is very special. I'm going to be back on Saturday for the signing, but I wanted to check it out whilst it was a bit quieter.
Luckily for me and my girlfriend we were the only ones there and got a guided tour by Paul that was very insightful and made me appreciate the work even more.
The crucifix piece is very special. It's amazing that it's all made from one primed canvas - nothing has been added, only sliced and folded to create a new image from nothing. Apparently it was one of the last works to be created for the exhibition (the last piece to be painted was the largest work of the drive-thru canvas downstairs).
If you're anywhere near London it's worth seeing the show in person, no pictures will do it justice.
The colours, the use of different materials and the manipulation of light and reflection is truly stunning. Adam has really pioneered and has began to master this new technique.
It was also nice to see a lot of variety and a new cardboard painting.
A great show... I can't wait to revisit on Saturday!

Adam Neate 'Dimensional Paintings' - October 2011, by PRO on Oct 9, 2011 9:12:31 GMT 1, Awesome show impressive stuff really inspirational.. Adam is such a top bloke so Humble. seems to have allot of time for his fans. He signed a poster for my three year old girl as she had waited so patently in line with me, He wrote a nice little message and done doodle of her on it. she's a lucky girl.

Adam Neate 'Dimensional Paintings' - October 2011, by Squarity on Oct 9, 2011 10:40:37 GMT 1, Popped down yesterday - what a show. A true innovator at work, these dimensional paintings have such an impact that i left with a feeling of 'how do you compete?' - but that feeling changed as i spent time moving around the pieces, watching them morph and illuminate. The annoying brilliance - gives any artist a very high target to aim for, and now it was 'time to up the game'. This work is fresh, forward thinking and Adam has proven he can paint over the years and there is no questioning his talent, but this is the work of a pioneer. He has taken a risk with this painting style, introducing plastics, mirror and many more materials - ditching his winning formula of years past. Dimensional painting could be an entire art movement in itself - if you really are interested in art then this may be an important milestone in 21st century art and one not to be missed.

Adam Neate 'Dimensional Paintings' - October 2011, by sal on Oct 9, 2011 12:09:14 GMT 1, I've been seeing Adam Neate's work here and there, but I never knew the story behind it, and I never gave it a lot of attention somehow.. than, few months ago I saw the Madonna poster, and I really liked the image and the concept .. but after seeing teasers for this show, I got more interested, and now, after seeing the images you guys posted here, Im totally blown away by his work... and thats without seeing it in person!..
I really think his dimensional work is very unique, but more important, it's insanely effective and appealing to me.. it's very "Picassoish" (which I like), but has a massive 21st century twist on it, by using modern materials, colors, lights, etc.. I find it amazing how much texture, detail and dynamics he's able to produce by using this technique, and I love the effects he gets by painting and shading those bent piece of plastic, wire and whatnot...
lucky, I had a very kind boardie picking up a signed Madonna poster for me yesterday (thanks once again mate!), so I guess I just wanted to say THANKS everyone for introducing me to this great artist!..
