SHELL BLOOD FOR OIL ON EBAY, by verbalkint on Jul 16, 2007 8:00:51 GMT 1, dont get me wrong... whether this auction is real or not only the owner will know.... but lets say the auction goes thru.... its all "irrational exurbance"... like paying ยฃ400 for a poster... or ยฃ100 for an unlimited soup can print, or ยฃ2.5k for a judgement day... these are all unrealistic prices... my only point is that there much more stuff around that has good value and remains undervalued.... remember... most of the original bansky fans have turned to become speculators... and this print market and forum has become a speculator zone... and has lost the original concept of fanzone. as you might know my reaper is gone but its always good to keep in touch to see how this market keeps evolving and growing at an extremely rapid pace.

And before you accuse someone of shill bidding, i seem to remember that you listed your grin reaper as a private auction with (i think) a ยฃ6500 start, there was a bid on it straight away, someone on here said it looked shady and you posted some bollocks about you might cancel their bid as they asked you to drop it off to them in canada or something stupid. YOu admitted at the time you had been caught out and took the listing down. YOu are as shady a person as anyone and you have fuck all right to question anyone elses auctions, you lost that right when you tried to rip people off yourself.

and i have made various deals with various ppl on this board (thanks to the forum and they all know that i am honest and trustworthy... so i dont need you to give me speeches.

But i've read two posts that were asking people to front you at the next show. It came across as fairly aggressive. If people knocking your respect points pisses you off that much, such talk is only going to exacerbate the situation. f**k em!! seriously that post is not directed at anyone on this thread, the regulars who contribute, i get on with most, if not all of them. what i am saying is that IF someone has a problem with me, then be a man and tell me to my face. I have only ever stated my opinion on here, if it upsets someone enough to neg me respect points then come and tell me why i piss you off so much, thats all i am saying. Well not gonna go into a massive opinion but I am with verbal with most of what he says, I am totally with him when he critizises those who dock points just for having a different opinion to him! He has said nothing that he doesn't feel is true and he hasn't personally attacked anyone yet (physically we have yet to see!) The whole point of this site is for people with similar interests to offer opinion and join in debate so why kick people for it? +1 from me verbal
And a note on the possible shill bidding on SBFO Bollox! I have placed a few bids on that print already, I don't know the guy selling, I have nothing to gain from it, I like others am just one who missed out on the print release and would like to own one of a very limited run of pieces of art. I have just bought a signed LVC for a large sum which I am not going to publicise after the JD incident. There was no shill bidding on that, it was a straight forward offer of sale and acceptance of the asking price. It will be framed and on my wall next week, I have nothing to gain by advertising the price I paid as I do not intend to sell, had it been an Ebay deal then it would probably have set the current benchmark for this piece.
IMO Beejoir has made some increadibly powerful comments without using a single word, he is an active member of the forum but unlike most of us he has an artistic talent which is far and above the abilites of a lot of the other bandwagon wannabe's! Otherwise we would all be producing masterpieces!

If you are a numbers guy stick to the numbers that would actually give you an idea of trends - the actual selling prices.

I got a SBFO original and it didnt cost ยฃ3k. I have 2 beejoir originals, total cost was ยฃ6000. There was one on campbarbera which actually sold for ยฃ2500 2 weeks ago and there was one on ebay 2 weeks age which sold for ยฃ5000 with a copy of dirty delux from a seller in japan (the best bargain of the year in my opinion, i didnt trust the seller enough to risk buying it though) but i messaged him and he said i could have had the canvas for ยฃ2200.

(when a ยฃ10 21C poster sold for ยฃ100 everyone started complaining about it... or about that famous soup can litho.... yet you ripped someone 4x as much and everyone stays mum)... good for you... its ur business after all, but don't tell me what i have to do with my prints.

And how did i rip anyone off? I sold a poster, told everyone what it was, and people bid on it. You listed an item and shill bid on it. Are you a drooling idiot, seriously. Are you on drugs or something? Let me clear something up about the english language ok. If you list something, tell them exactly what it is and where it came from, whatever price you get is fair, there was no reserve and no shill bidding. It was a rare poster that sold out a year ago and its the first one on ebay for 5 months. it sold for its value. When something sells out, its value goes up you f**king tit. But well done on going through my auctions desperatly trying to find something to have a go at me for.
You admitted ADMITTED that you shill bid on a banksy print that there is every chance someone on these boards bid on. I only have one, its hard enough to run that. I get 120 emails on an average day, most of which are from people asking questions that are answered in the auction (that is so annoying!)
