Mr Jago Original Canvas , by sohohoho on Dec 31, 2011 17:54:20 GMT 1, I don't think money was the only motivation for Calum, but it was an important factor (like it is for many of us). I know I wouldn't swap for something of lesser value. Saying that, the fact is, Calum was getting the better financial deal. The Eelus is worth £800-£925, easy. If the Jago was auctioned from 99p, it would struggle to reach £800, let alone £875. I was also arranging/paying to post the Eelus AND Jago. Why was I happy to settle with something of lesser value on this occasion? 1. I've get enough umbrella/rain themed prints in Nola's. 2. I've been contemplating a Jago commission for a while now. 3. The Jago was going straight on the wall whereas the Eelus needed framing. 4. This particular Jago needed rescuing! It was the people who contributed to the breakdown of the deal who pissed me off more. Five with a typical uneducated comment and the vindictive members who pm'd Calum, only wanting the canvas for themselves. HNY folks x

Mr Jago Original Canvas , by xmyart on Dec 31, 2011 18:05:33 GMT 1, I so flip there was an eelus NEISBAW on the go framed for not much over £700 the other day, so five was in fact completely correct, and it was also framed. I think there was a LOT of monetary inclination with Callum to be honest. And he seems to be on some kind of flipper mission. Hes just not particularly good at it.

I'm talking about current market value, not what someone is selling one on the forum for. And if that's the case, Calum should have just bought that one instead of messing me about. I've had numerous +£800 offers since. Maybe I should sell mine and buy the framed one while making a few quid at the same time...

You two are like a double act. Remove yourself from his arse and think logically for a second. Maybe you'll even understand my username...
1. Five didn't reference the sale you are, and if he had, I would have said fair enough and shook both his and Calum's hand.
2. Since when was CMV based on one forum offering? I've got three lots of evidence that blow that theory out of the water.

im sorry i didn't realise we had to keep our mouths shut when you where trying to make a deal (which you obviously felt you where getting at a bargain otherwise you wouldn't be so pissed off) and obviously he felt the same way as i highly doubt he would of changed his mind over one comment. as for my comment being 'uneducated' can i ask how i was being uneducated? is it because i dont on an Eelus and thus not trying to hype up its value? i simply saw what they where selling for and made a fully 'educated' statement. now fuck off you bitter t**t and stop trying to bully people into deals!

Mr Jago Original Canvas , by sohohoho on Dec 31, 2011 20:01:41 GMT 1, Are you mad? I'm pissed off because as you can imagine, Calum wasn't the easiest person to deal with and it got as far as him turning away my courier at his front door.
You don't have to keep your mouths shut, unless you're uneducated. e.g.
made a bit of a loss on that then aint ya...
Saw what they were selling for? Besides the four most recent sales recorded on EB ($1,200/$1,200/$1,400/$1,200) and the supposed £700 one on here, educate me.
Thought not. Now go and lick some stamps you egg.

Mr Jago Original Canvas , by sohohoho on Dec 31, 2011 21:03:16 GMT 1, uh oh, here comes the double act. who said i'm worked up? i'm just trying to educate you two nits. the exchange rate you would actually get is 1.50608 so $1,200 = £800 and $1,400 = £930. ebay's maximum fee is £40 and you're presuming the canvas is worth what he paid for it. i paid over £200 for street improvements. that doesn't mean it's still worth that. you're also forgetting i was doing all the legwork and paying for postage each way. oh, and if you want to start clutching at straws, all the EB sales were subject to 20% import tax. so, $1,240 = £825 + 20% = £990 + clearance fee. $1,440 = £955 + 20% = £1,150 + clearance fee. i don't know what your agendas are but it's probably best you go back to your drawing boards.

Mr Jago Original Canvas , by Deleted on Dec 31, 2011 21:52:26 GMT 1, I'm gonna go on record to say that I would be mighty pissed if I was Isoflip. Having the courier turned away after agreeing a deal is pretty crap. Knowing Isohunt a little, I would vouch for him being a genuine bloke and also someone who is also generous. It seems that when Mr Jago is involved passion runs high.
As for the better deal, ultimatley it didn't happen. However IMO financially Isoflip may have been losing out, but artistically he would have won by a mile.
Happy new year to you all and I'm not telling what the prize is. If it doesn't surface for sale by the last persons guess I will get my kids to pick someones name out of a hat. All I will say is it may not be to your taste, but its a fine piece of hand finished art. If the winner doesn't want it'll get something else together.

Haha, my first thought aswell.
Back to thread - no way the Eelus was worth that but calum was out of order dropping deal. Those prints come up all the time, maybe for cheaper depending on situation, where as the jago was an og.
Nevermind Happy New Year
(and isoaflip chill out - youve been having a right old pop tonight)
