They should have put whole in each end and blown the inside out. I believe when egg collecting was rife, this is what they used to do.
Thankfully it doesn't go on so much these days.

I'd go for a replacement rather than a refund, but get something more substancial like a brick.

Haha, that's pretty funny. Turk is such a plum. He mugs people off with his awful 'art' by pretending he's making an artistic, ironic statement, art from everyday inanimate objects. A false hoodwinking of the art establishment. He's created a grand illusion whereby those that purchase his 'creations' feel that they are in on his epic, deep, intellectual concept, they feel as one with his ideas, they have discovered that Eureka moment of 'I get it', I'm in on the joke, many will fall at the first hurdle and fail to understand it but not me! In reality he's just a chancer pedaling s**te and laughing behind everyone's backs.(or even at their faces) The fact that he didn't even bother to make the eggs safe shows what contempt he has for all his mug punters. (no offence meant)

....Or perhaps it's a genuinely profound and ironic statement that's he making here, maybe it symbolises the decay of beauty, an example of evolutionary perfection brought about by Milena of adaptation yet not even the humble egg can ward off the inevitable radioactive disintegration of matter. Yeah right. He's just the Del Boy of the Urban art scene.

i must say you are a fool to buy an egg for £25!!! i think gavin turk is worse than brainwash as gavin turks work has has absolutely no thought behind it!!! (or to much, either way he is still an arse hole for selling his shite for to much money!)

Maybe I'm on my own here, but I wouldn't dismiss Gavin Turk as being 'another Mr. Brainwash' or someone who doesn't put any thought into his art.

Now I'm no fan of the eggs, napkins, bin bags, blocks of bread or even the turkey foil. However, I would say that he does put thought in and his work does provoke interesting interpretations (even if ones interpretation of his work is shit).

I quite like the Elvis series, but have to say he does seem to have gone a bit down hill since around 2001.

Anyway just my opinion.

I like Gavin Turks stuff as well RR, just seems in this case it wasnt thought through properly, or maybe it was and he is at home watching telly pissing himself laughing at the well timed stinky eggs popping open worldwide.
