Aryz 🇺🇸 Street Art • Painting • Print Release , by smallbylo on Apr 13, 2015 14:37:27 GMT 1, Los Angeles, CA (April X, 2015 ) – World renowned Barcelona fine artist and contemporary muralist Aryz presents his first Los Angeles show, “PARAL•LEL.” Taking place on the 5th floor of an old building in Downtown LA’s Arts District, “PARAL•LEL” consists of a diverse divergent dynamism of work taking root with the mathematical notion in differential geometry where two parallel geodesic lines never meet in the same plane, but instead intersect at infinity.



The show is an ambitious though cogent collection of works housed in two separate rooms, each having their own line built to echo and challenge the dual constructs of the artistic space that Aryz’s work occupies. Exploring the inherent contradictions he faces straddling the duality of creating work both in public spaces and interior environments, the show will unveil two parallel spaces with mutually complementary collections of work set up to explore the ironic distinctions and similarities of its complex themes through a curvature of creation and a symbiotic symbolism. While one room will showcase a sparse, traditionally hung collection of classically created paintings, the other will comprise a high-energy onslaught of expressive contemporary works.



Aryz’s elaborate work incorporates both classical academic painting along with contemporary techniques and mediums, an almost contradictory set of skills wherein one traditionally requires a fast, deft and adroit movement and speed, with the other taking in a more subdued and muted response through a painstaking dedication of concentration and contrition of artist and canvas. Nevertheless, with his inimitable imagination and style, Aryz has firmly established himself in the field of fine art and contemporary muralism, producing large, grand-scale works several stories tall throughout the world. At just 26 years old, his public works showcase his distinctive and innovative techniques that express an enigmatic energy emblazoned on each and every wall or building he puts paint to.



Now, with his new show “PARAL•LEL,” Aryz has created an extensive body of indoor work for the first time, managing and molding the ferocity and fervor of his craft to the canvas and paper using every material he’s adept with.
