I have started to perfect the process for my own purposes. The ink can be moved around now on the paper allowing for some deconstruction and expression.

He would mount glass on an easel and paint landscapes as he saw it. He would then imprint it onto paper for a monoprint. It was backwards, but very nice stuff.

It essentially means a one off image using printing techniques. Each is unique. John Cage would set fire to paper and then put it through the printing press.
The materials I use to create mine are very basic. I have just worked hard at eliminating some off to the random properties of the process. I have been asked to run a series of demonstrations in the technique back Loughborough University School of Art and Design which is very exciting.
