For Sale- Banksy Nola gift print, by johnnyh on Jan 29, 2012 8:25:04 GMT 1, "Gift prints are only given COAs if they are requested by the original giftee, once they have passed into new hands they wont be given one."
Understand that Mouser my point is that it strikes me as weird that someone who worked at POW would not have had one and given it to the Collector when sold on. Now could not be re redg' as it were but would have expected it. He would then have a form of COA.
That's why I think this is a bit dodgy.

For Sale- Banksy Nola gift print, by Deleted on Jan 29, 2012 8:28:29 GMT 1, Gift prints are only given COAs if they are requested by the original giftee, once they have passed into new hands they wont be given one. I have one with a written verification from Dora confirming the prints origin and background but it is inellidgible for a COA as I am the 3rd owner. I cant comment on the legitimacy of the Nola in question here and have no connection to the seller, but there are a plethora of varied banksy sigs, if they are hand signed no 2 will be identical, there have been a shed load of threads regarding this in the past, for both the old normal sig and for the new style signature, the mear fact that they are hand signed rather printed sigs means that signatures will vary. The blind stamps used on the piece look pretty good. Doesnt change the fact its an unverified gift print at best, so worth whatever someone feels its worth shelling out for.
Agree, looks like a perfectly legit print. Sig and stamp look good. Most artists use prints as a form of cash. If this has full provenance then a COA is irrelevant IMO.

For Sale- Banksy Nola gift print, by Pistol on Jan 29, 2012 10:15:59 GMT 1, copied and pasted from the original thread: 'Bought from someone that worked at POW now' Chinese whispers? ..................and that signature?
Ok here are the pics you guys wanted I did say that they had no COA and wanted to do a FACE TO FACE DEAL so you could check the print.
I got them of a guy who was in the line at POW for NBG.
He told me that his friend had done some work for POW and he was given them.
Maybe I was stupid buying them but they looked good to me, but hey I am no expert.
Your opinions on these pics would be a great help.

Probably not directly, but I'm quite sure Nuart has had this discussion with a great deal of artists, having worked closely with a lot of them (well, certainly the ones that appear on this board anyway).

Ha ha, sorry, I thought it was obvious that the 'most artists' in both mine and Nu's original comments were based on the artists this board deals with, rather than every artist in every genre. Rather pedantic don't you think?
I was genuinely trying to answer your question, but now I realise that you've just got a huge chip on your shoulder.
No worries, have fun getting upset with him.

Not sure Banksy is the same as most artists though and needs gift prints as cash. Similarly that's the point of the thread it does not seem to have any provenance.
