D-Face DSTQ, D-Dog Diorama & Dog Face For Sale, by poofly on Aug 18, 2007 16:12:32 GMT 1, Needs must and what with the unsuccesful punting of my Bansky CND I gotta shift some other stuff, so here come the D-Face pieces.
'Death From Above'
One off piece done for the Death and Glory show down at Stolenspace last year.
DSTQ canvas from years back. I thought they were from an edition of 25 but then I saw this on the d-face site,
dface.co.uk/main.php?section=vault&vault_type=&limit=24&vault_id=1 (the one at the end)
So it must be an edition of 12... (50cm x 50cm)
And then this piece which was done for me by the face himself in 2006. (20" x 30")
There is also this if anyone is interested. Hand painted one off 20" Fatcap done by Flying Fortress for the Kidrobot Paintball Charity auction thingwy last year.
What else we got...

i was out with friends the other day and someone who has no interest in d*face was talking about him saying they had heard through their mate he was the next 'big' thing and peope were buying his stuff up and he asked me if i had heard of him. I just said yeah sort of (ive probably got the most d*face pieces on my wall ever!)
what he has planned in the next year will surprise alot of people i think. keep an eye out.
bearing in mind you have one banksy to sell or about 5 quality dface originals.

yeah i think you will get around ยฃ2500 - ยฃ3000 with the right collector for that one as well. very nice
hold onto it though - if you want a pension as dface stuff is going pretty big with all the stuff he has planned in the next 6 months - especially over in the US

Lots of shows this year for other people, either already been or coming soon & i feel maybe the sway will switch towards these more.

I think you will find those are fair prices if you do your research.

i would say banksy is out of reach of many now and losing a bit of respect for in a way keeping it that way by not doing much recently. People are moving on to others as it gets a bit boring when you see a banksy story in the London free papers every night - it gets a bit like 'oh what now'.
i agree with silk. With the other artists coming through as well banksy is in danger of going down the pecking order with normal art collectors.

I do agree that there are other artists who will compete for our money though, which has to be a good thing. There is a huge variety of art available at all price ranges, but the problem is getting hold of it before it sells out.

Glad to hear it.. Banksy's still the man, but I've got a lot of time for Dface. Far more than for say Neate or Micallef.

I know Che has been done to death, but IMO this one is the pick of the bunch. There is a bargain to be had for those that pick this one up on the secondary market.

Most of them seem fair, ecept the fatcap cost me about ยฃ500 and I think the dface deck was about that aswell a good year or two ago, so really looking for about 750 on each of those....

Dface has produced a lot of good artwork over the last few years and his work is still easy to get hold.
i have a few bits by Dface and i am the same if i look around there are more Dface pieces than allmost any other artist,
