all fall down price drop, by jffriedman on Aug 20, 2007 14:06:17 GMT 1, can anyone try to explain this?
Item number: 330154540747 vs. Item number: 120150366604
shill bidding, auction end timing? How could there be such a difference in price witin a couple days?
can anyone try to explain this?

all fall down price drop, by pezlow on Aug 20, 2007 14:15:25 GMT 1, There are just too many of these on the bay. It must be about 20% of the run now. It's hardly surprising that the price has dropped.

330154540747 has already sold as where 120150366604 still has 7 hours left so expect it to go much higher, prob around 375-400. Also 120150366604 is in the U.S. and auctions in the U.S. tend to do a little worst then in the U.K. Also one thing I noticed about ebay and ebay.uk is that on ebay.com people tend to wait till the last sec to place bids where on ebay.uk the bids tend to come earlier, anyone else notice this.

I've watched a fair few Banksy, Beejoir and Mantis prints recently, there seem to be a few that sell then you see then being re-listed, I guess either because the original buyer didn't pay up or maybe some funny business going on?

all fall down price drop, by pezlow on Aug 20, 2007 15:34:02 GMT 1, The larger the sale price of stuff on the bay the greater chance that something will not go through. I reckon a large number of these sales don't happen because the buyer gets wet feet after being caught up in the excitement of it all.

I think you'll find it's only 7 or 8 that have hit ebay discounting the relistings, (about 10% of the run) some have gone unsold due to highly ambitious BIN price and some sold at auction but have been relisted.

Or realises they've out bid a load of BIN prices and just buy a cheaper one

Faire enough, I stand corrected. I hadn't really counted them it just seemed like an awful lot coupled with the number being sold on here and wall candy as well.

Including ones sold here and wall candy it'll be higher than 7 or 8 but actually on ebay only 2 or three have sold successfully with 4 for sale now (including at least 1 relist).

all fall down price drop, by snakes on Aug 20, 2007 19:37:32 GMT 1, All about supply and demand and all that whatnot. Too many people see a few good sales and all jump on the band waggon at one and the result being the lower prices. Wait a while and as soon as there are fewer leaking onto ebay the prices are likely to rise again.. Just take a look at the sepia morons price at the moment, too many on the bay and they are prob the lowest i have seen them for a wee while and never mind the naplam going for less than a grand yesterday!

all fall down price drop, by dgb133 on Aug 20, 2007 20:15:00 GMT 1,
And what happened to the flag print that was only bid up to 500 GBP with an hour to go earlier today? I can't find the closed auction. BME with no bids and minutes to go a grannies only bid up to 500 with 11 hours to go... Price drops? Used to be these would get all bid up in the first day. Everyone getting bored with this stuff? A few weeks ago I would have probably bid on some of these. (well not the mantis) I've gotten a bit bored and over all the hype myself with all this and decided I'd rather be debt free. Maybe next year I'll try and get another Banksy? Maybe I'll win a festival on POW? one day... When the hell are they going to be released?

all fall down price drop, by corblimeylimey on Aug 20, 2007 21:16:43 GMT 1, Yep, far too damn long, POW really should have posted some news on their website, either that future sales won't happen or won't happen through them or if they're not going to give an exact date at least say which month and what print or prints will be released with perhaps pictures and prices, the way they're handling it really is taking the piss now. All they've said is keep checking the site... pathetic!

Couldn't agree more. But if they admit they've lost their biggest artist then the website will stop getting hits and they wont make anymore money.
I just hate not knowing. It's fucking annoying the crap out of me and probably pissing most of their good customers off. Or maybe they are dragging it out so that they can try to get rid of the hangers on/baggers/flippers and those people that aren't obsessed like us on here.
Who bloody knows!!

I can't see banky refusing to release. Thats madness, the cash could be used to help millions of people and he knows it. Perhaps there will be one crazy SG somewhere this xmas?
