What do you REGRET Selling, Buying or Not Buying, by crashwilliams on Apr 18, 2019 6:43:37 GMT 1, Back in the day, telling all my friends about Banksy and being able to buy prints for 75/125 (Unsigned & signed) and no one being interested - id already bought several. I then wandered off, buying eelus, dolk and various others. Still think back on those days and wonder why I follow more of my advice and buy the whole lot!
Selling a signed jack & jill and grin reaper for peanuts - though at the time, it did get me out of a hole.
Contacted by a good mate, did I want to go halfs on a £1200 Banksy Canvas...
Ah well!

I had to get money for the Banksy Sales End so I had to sell art ( I never do usually ) , I asked my young son ( gone now - hope not forever - as my kit - sorry for the comparison lol, it’s not funny anyway  -, as they are supposed to belong to my kids when I will die ( I’m not rich so art will help them, just hope that they won’t throw it in the dustbins ) and he told me to keep the 3D signed one - not as much beautiful.
So I sold it - not too much, 2 K + a box set -, but i have lost a part of myself, a bit of Paris that was in my heart and soul - venirs !
Oh I know, you will say it’s not a Banksy or an artwork wit multiple K, but art is not only a question of money but history, heART, and love. Past and witness of a period of your life !
Yes Banksy, a lot have regrets, is it only for the actual value?

so this wasn't a one time chance, this was over a looooong period of it being available
the monkeys with the safes series was another I liked, but don't know if that was available as print
I just enjoyed seeing them all around on the streets of Bristol instead
always wanted a print of the pic in my sig from johnny ball lane, but no idea if it was ever released.
wasn't until much later that learnt of other artists.
wasn't even aware of the stik show at king of paint referred to above :-(

regrets ? hmm not really - it is what you make it - if you can.. or in a few cases simply can't.
passed on a gwb dip - which i do regret but i was totally skint so.. i wasn't even close.
otherwise... got the cmyk in the end.

If I had a spare $18k I would be crawling on my knees trying to get one of these prints. But alas, it’s tax time, and I just gave the fed all my cash. But yes, I will likely be telling how I could have had that JW print for $18k 10 years from now.

Me and my mates were all down in Brighton for the weekend and all passed up GWB unsigned from art republic. We could have bought a holiday home in Ibiza if we’d all hung on and sold now!!! Got signed Police Kids and Virgin Mary for £150 each a few weeks later so not all bad.

Not managing to agree a price (which now would be a pittance for a piece by him) for a small Miller penguin book cover original with a member on here.
When I had the opportunity to buy a Blu drawing. At the time probably at a cost of around 1/15 of what I would have to pay now, if I could. I stupidly asked if the price was inclusive of vat, and in the moments wasted doing that it sold to a smashing chap on here.
Both of these were years ago now.
My other two regrets (though I am not, by any measure, plagued by them) are:
