It'll be interesting to see how well the work translates from a big outdoors wall to a smaller print but it looks very promising from the photo above. I think this is going to look cracking.

It only hurts those that want the art work to cherish, not to flip. I get it that art is big business, always has been but come on..... I guess the only time it hurts bad is when I want the piece of art, yet I either have to pay a massive amount just to get my hands on it or whimper in a corner bashing my head against a wall. I didn't want this one, although I saw the pre order screen when it was put on here. It wasn't clear if it was a screen print or my other real hate that has been spreading like wild fire with artists and galleries in the last couple of years. I won't go on. I'll just keep rolling my pissed off eyes and bloodying up the wall with my head - street art anyone?

It would be easy for SHOK-1 to refund the seller, he lives in IOWA. I'd guess only the one has been purchased from someone in Iowa.

Interesting to see the print already on Ebay for a substantial Flip. Not sure it will get the price offered but nonetheless interesting for myself to see how things move so fast. Shok-1 is a one of kind artist and deserves all the success coming his way.
There is 2 sides to every coin and like in the other thread about artists demanding high prices so fast, well look at this example if an artists work is selling on Ebay for a substantial amount due to flippers well do you blame him for upping the price next time. This is just artists in general not saying Shok would do this but its an interesting question regardless. Real fans I think are the only ones that get shafted in this scenario. But it is what it is. Congrats to Shok-1 for a succesful release.

It's a fact of life all sides of the Atlantic.... And for the record.. I'm not bothered either way.. I've bought stuff that has been flipped cos I've wanted it.. Likewise I sold at above ( and under ) cost price.. As dictated my market forces.

Seems if I wanted the print, I'd not have a choice.
To be honest, I'm shocked my favorite artist doesn't charge more.
However, if artist I like start charging crazy release prices because of an inflated ego, see Steve L./The Outsiders, I'd have to cross them off of my list.

If I am going to pay top dollars for a piece, I want my cash going to the artist. But, I am sure some artist aren't that bothered about the flippers, it's all glory, money and fame at the end of the day. That's what people are striving for, certainly to be well known and respected for their work. Money is just part of the game. I'm just peeved because I can never get the artists I really would love because of that game!
