'Airhead' Print Release

SHOK-1 is pleased to announce the release of ‘Airhead’, a limited edition handmade silkscreen print in four colourways.



Darkly humorous, the print depicts a human skull X-ray morphed into the shape of a balloon.

The artist plays cunning games with composition - the character symbolically touches the top of the image area, evoking a party balloon stuck on the ceiling. The string cheekily invades the border creating a sense that the subject is floating in front of the print area.

This print is based on the 2020 Airhead piece painted at London Mural Festival, where the artist pushed his peerless technique to a new level.

The artwork was rendered in freehand spraypaint with no use of tape or masking, a virtuoso demonstration of skill developed over nearly 40 years of working in the medium.



‘Airhead’ comes in a Bone main edition, limited to 80, to complement our previous editions, and three more exclusive mini editions in classic balloon colours limited to just 20 each. This print is a must-have for anyone who appreciates SHOK-1's work.

We think this release surpasses the already excellent standards of our previous editions.

Highly technical silkscreen printing techniques have been employed by the master printers at Jealous Print here in London to beautifully reproduce every nuance and detail of the original work.

Many translucent layers of ink were painstakingly built up over time to capture the complex tonal subtleties of the original mural.



We have used an extra heavyweight fine art paper for enhanced resilience and a luxurious feel.

Each print is individually signed and embossed by SHOK-1 and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. We ship worldwide via a premium shipping service with full insurance. We can pack up to two prints per tube for the same shipping cost.

Grabbed a Blue one, looks absolutely stunning, and his first etching, low edition of 30 also, love his work, amazing detail!

Absolutely Lroy, Shok-1 is still to hit his peak! his star is still ascending, absolutely amazing work!.....the Blue edition sold out very quickly, I think it is the best colourway of the three.
