The one thing I've always wanted to stay clear from is hype. I released the print in two half's expecting them to trickle out all day. I thought splitting the run would just make it easier for people to casually buy it in their own time zone and not miss it because of work or sleep. In the past people haven't really gone out of their way to buy my things so i expected no different. I'm sorry to all the people who set alarms in the dead of night or spent a lot of time on the computer yesterday. If it makes you feel better I've not had much sleep either. In hindsight a lottery style release would have been better. 

I'm going to just stick to painting walls for a while. I'm sorry if i become a bit hard to get hold of by email. I feel like a rabbit caught in headlights when i try and look at my inbox.

one just went on Ebay for £394.37 quite a mark up!

I think the bigger the better when you're trying to take street art and put it in your house.

That makes it five now that have been on or are still on eBay, what I find really odd though is that although the first half of these prints were released when America was still asleep all of these are from the USA. Could there be some sort of sniping software being used that we are not aware of in the old world?

Ive said this before. Plus, Im sure their broadband is atleast 5 times faster than in the UK. Mines even slower with all the filth im downloading ;D

i think you guys might be over thinking things a little bit...i am from the US and know of many people who stayed up late that night to get this and can guarantee there was no software using to acquire this...like stanley said it prob has to do with the fact UK has much slower internet then in the US

Really? are we talking self made software or public software who everyone can use?
The page refreshing software dont sound like threat, but if they can hit an add or purchase button automatically after its added, then its hard to compete against.

I like how Shepard Fairey or Obey does it.
I'm sure others do that as well, but haven't read the policy other places then Obey.

Have a search for bots. we have ticket master in the uk for buying tickets to gigs etc, people can buy software to get them through the buy pages quicker than humans, does all the stuff super fast

i know people use webmon for page changes, then they add a macro or sommink

It's possible that there were bots used but based on the few numbers that hit ebay I'd just say it was just some good old fashioned hype. Well deserved hype that is, but still hype.

Although it is disappointing to see so many so quick on eBay, after only a hundred or so were sold (maybe much less) and I would think they haven't even been sent out yet let alone received, lets see how many there are once they have been delivered, but at least some of them will have gone to people who appreciate the work. So well done to all who grabbed one who intends to keep it, look forward to seeing a few in the latest art buy section

I used Firefox with the c4c add on let me know when the page updated. Still had to hit add to cart. Guessed it would be on sale between 6-8 am for all you UK fans! Being in Hawaii that made it early evening for me finally paid off being in Hawaii for a print release. Most of the random us releases happen early am Hawaii time when I am sleeping.
So get ff and c4c.

It's good too see him providing some to them, they appear to have been stocking his stuff for yonks, certainly very helpful when I've spoken to them in the past. Perhaps it was the 100 online and the odd 7 for the shop.
