What ive learned about this artist the last few days blows me away. What a great guy he seems to be.
Definitely going to follow his outdoor work this year.

Indeed.
Im concerned on how this release will effect his decision for any future prints though. It was obviously a headache for him. I respect the fact that he's more interested in painting on the streets rather than churning out prints......but Im in the states and don't have the privilege of seeing the street work. 
Id consider myself lucky if I was able to see the outdoor stuff on occasion. Enjoy it!!

Why would this experience affect him? I dont think he has done anything wrong. He split the release to make it easier for people. He made that decision from past releases. Its not his fault the demand had increased. Why should he care about emails begging to prioritise them? Hes probably answered them when he could have just ignored them as they were out of order. Now bigcartel has oversold his work he now offers a free bonus. SOS always oversell but just refund. No apology. Think hes been spot on.

I wasn't criticising him - I, like a few others, have rated Phlegm very highly for quite some time and have the utmost admiration for him. His one and only passion is to paint and I believe he produces the comics, prints and stuff purely to fund his passion - I think if he could afford to he would produce even less and spend far more time doing what he loves.
To refund the excess orders and then give them a very small edition release is amazing and just proves how non-commercial he is. Others have been known to produce another variant for disgruntled customers but still charge them for the privilege.
This release has proven how popular he has become and I think that his popularity is only going to grow. In order for him to continue to dedicate himself to his passion I do think he will need some management - the challenge is now to find some management that protect his principles not their own wallets.
.....and from his blog update he sounds absolutely frazzled by the whole experience.... ;D

to date. i have seen maybe 1 or 2 stilt prints hit ebay.
zero battle prints. just one on here for 200 euros. dunno if it sold.

The A - Z books have now all gone. I missed out on the print earlier in the week - twice - clearly my f5ing is not fast enough - so it's nice to finally get hold of a copy of this.

On a separate note, with all this love for Phlegm i feel it gives me another chance to show my original drawing that I picked up last year, it's A3 size and amazing close up. I managed to pick it up from a shop in Sheffield last year after about 6 months of waiting.
