I find the Stilt auction activity hard to believe....

In only a couple of hours, it has 8 bids and sits at £210?!!
If thats legit....wow. I would've thought the final price would be around £150-£175.

That said, too rich for me but best wishes if any of you are after it.

I have recently unearthed a couple of Phlegm’s screen prints, and also have the opportunity to offer some original work for sale. After the success of the ‘Civilisation’ print and the speed in which it sold out, I have been inundated with enquiries for Phlegm’s work. Therefore, as the prints are now quite rare and demand is high, I have had to take the decision to sell the prints on ebay. It really is the only fair way I can think of to offer everyone an opportunity.
 
Firstly, we have the ‘Stilt’ screen print. This is a 2 colour A4 screen print and was released in 2010 as an edition of 40. The particular print for sale is an artist’s proof. Here is the link for the listing:

Secondly, I have found a ‘Battle’ 3 colour screen print which was an edition of 45, but the one offered for sale is an artist’s proof. This was released early 2011. See full details on the listing here:

And finally, we have the pen and ink originals of Phlegm’s Illuminated Alphabet. 27 original pieces including the title page for the book and the 26 letters of the alphabet I have attached pictures so that you can see just how beautiful these originals are. These drawings were never intended for sale, but were drawn solely for the ‘Illuminated Alphabet’ book by Phlegm. Therefore, there are some tippex marks on a small number of them. Please also note that there are 27 pieces for sale, and not 30 as shown in the photograph.
 
These originals will not be put on ebay, so if you are interested then please contact me to submit an offer. As they will be very highly sort after, there is no time limit being placed on this sale. If the right price is offered then they will be sold, but if there are a few interested parties then I will of course give everyone a fair chance before accepting an offer.

Yes its actually a pretty good way of knowing how to price your prints for sale, but very easy to bump the bidding up to create a bit more of the hype and supposed clamour.

well people are paying 50 quid for a little comic? you cant really frame that. and issue 10 had a a pretty high edition.

the image of the battle print looks like the one phlegm originally posted. it's lopsided. i think they were all printed like that. and i believe most were cut down to a level border. mine arrived like in the picture and phlegm was happy to trim to the correct size. also the black ink fading is just about noticable in mine in a large black area which is from the middle of the edition. so i wouldnt be put off by that. i'd even call the battle print a fan club edition as it never made to an actual online shop sale. people are just not selling these at all.

I sold mine to someone for $250 a month or so ago, just helping someone out. But yeah these in general are just not being sold.
Mine had the same off center printing and fading on the black which really did not bother me or the buyer at all.

As far as his prints go Battle is one of his larger and technically more difficult, by screen count, but I prefer the simplicity in the Stilt image. I can't imagine stilt going for much more than it's at now. Battle, who knows. The listing's also wrong, it's a five screen not three screen print.

Karma. I made a couple bucks off it and know it went to a good home. It was framed up immediately and that makes me feel better than it possibly going to someone looking for an investment.
Pretty sure that's how phlegm would want it to go down.

The bookmark for 99 is hilarious. I currently use mine as..... an actual bookmark.
