I was lucky enough to pick up an original drawing of Phlegms before he 'hit the big time', I personally think the detail and characters he produces for his drawings and street art is amazing. I always find people comment more on the drawing of his I own than any other piece I have.

It would have looked much better to leave the original drawing in tact and have the stamp in the corner, overlaying part of the image, if necessary (like Battle).

I'm more excited about the book. Nevertheless of course this is a nice print at a good price.

However the prints tend to be hit and miss for me, though as I said I like this one because of the sitting under a pile of books which is sometimes how I feel when work mounts up

Silky I beg to differ- this looks pretty cool hanging on my walls! And I know a few people would like it. Hi Dan, you've got one hell of a original sketch collection and that phlegm is a beauty. However I kind of see silkys point of view with regards to prints. When civilisation is taken out of the equation I can't think of any prints of his I like. And maybe its because i don't know his stuff well enough but his sketches and street works are amazing but the prints 9 times out of 10 seem to be a miss for me. but of course as always it may just come down to personal preference with these things. In any case the new one in question I feel is one of phlegms better prints IMHO |

Different strokes for different folks. I prefer Civilisation, Stilt, Battle, and Point and Measure to this one. This is the result of a few factors:
(1) The aforementioned stamp placement. Don't like that it has been incorporated in to the image, and looks especially strange from a distance due to the white spot.
(2) It is a great image, but I think it works better as a book cover, than as a standalone print. Most of the interest is on the right half of the image, and again, the stamp placement.
(3) From a technical standpoint, it seems to be less complex than the other prints. Looks like white paper and one black screen and that's it.
All that being said, I am still going to go for it, but it won't be one I'll be throwing stupid money at in the secondary market if I miss out.
And Daniel, I do like to hang his work on my walls, and I would consider these to be my favourite pieces in my collection:

I think it might more be something like, his street work works more powerful or it is a more unusual kind of work for a street artist for having in your home. Might be we would like his work for indoors a lot more if he would have done only those.
I do think some prints are better than others and have seen some great examples of prints that work well!
