He's been doing this for years and years so I think it's gone past the 'poor little thing' let's encourage him stage.
The fact is, is you want to make art and don't want to hear anything bad, keep it in your bedroom. If you want to go out and sell it, and ask people to part with money, then you are going to get feedback, both good and bad.
A lot of people don't like his art, in the same way he has a vociferous fanclub who love him that only seem to come out of the woodwork when he is mentioned.
9 times out of 10 he's mentioned for some stunt, aiming to generate maximum attention with little or no artistic output to back it up. That's what people find objectionable.
Good luck with the new site anyway.
