Cartrain ๐ฌ๐ง Tate Gallery โข Damien Hirst โข Gilbert & George, by Daniel Silk on Apr 4, 2016 15:18:33 GMT 1, Going by the price I wonder if they are all individually hand printed to order, rather than a mass production. If only we knew someone in contact with Cartrain who could ask him. I think he comes on here every few days anyway.

Cartrain ๐ฌ๐ง Tate Gallery โข Damien Hirst โข Gilbert & George, by Lroy on Apr 4, 2016 17:51:07 GMT 1, I had no feelings one way or the other about Cartrain ... actually now I think about it, probably slightly positive, having got up next to him at Cans Festival ... but his website dwells on the ancient past, and he seems to live in a dreamworld. And how can he justify advertising at the top of every page here? Are you Cartrain, Daniel Silk? ps ... ยฃ75! Yes, I thought that ( about the advert ) when I saw the message with the pics ! I asked in myself if I was in Harrods or on a forum ( we could do the same for ebay annunces so )... Well, I like the middle one and maybe the trees ,but how you say, 75 quids ?!! A tee ! Even The beautiful Kidult ones ( with meaning ) are cheapest or given away.

He promised me a COA for one of his collage, and I am still wating for ! you can email him on his website, on facebook and On Instagram ! So, easy to find. Cartrain ๐ฌ๐ง Tate Gallery โข Damien Hirst โข Gilbert & George, by Deleted on Apr 5, 2016 16:09:37 GMT 1, I liked Cartrain in his prank period, even clowns would stop and stare as he manically ran in and out of museums wearing nothing but a hoodie and flippers, even Damien Hirst had a soft spot for him albeit consisting of quicksand, Cartrain was a right little tinker.
I liked his collages and indeed have a few, not these though sorry C..

Hand painted may justify it, pulling by hand mean moving a squeegee across a screen... A process that takes all of 3 seconds.

Cartrain ๐ฌ๐ง Tate Gallery โข Damien Hirst โข Gilbert & George, by tigerblood on Apr 8, 2016 12:36:47 GMT 1, The artist paid for an ad on your site. Do you not see how someone can find you hyping said artist a wee bit disingenuous?
I do not normally talk about artists I don't like. The only reason I did in this case was what I just mentioned above.

That Silky may once do the same is no bad thing.

He also did it in the print version of this thread.
Regardless, if he genuinely has awful taste and enjoys this mash-up drivel then I'll let it be. Somehow, I don't believe that's the case though. But whatever.

If you look at the threads I have posted in the last few weeks you will notice most dont advertise here. As my position of Admin I also like to encourage discussion on Art that I dont like! many of the threads I start are actually of things Im not interested in myself.

I quite like this, if he does ever manage to nuke something though it then becomes far too edgy, how advanced really is North Koreas nuclear programme? Is an interesting factor to have to take in to consideration when purchasing a print.

I guess Kim Jong-Un is gonna be a big figure on the World stage for decades to come, so these images by Cartrain might gain more interest in the future than they are at the moment. I was trying to think of other similar figures that have appeared in Art in this scene over the years? How about saddam hussein for DFace.

Cartrain ๐ฌ๐ง Tate Gallery โข Damien Hirst โข Gilbert & George, by Coach on May 3, 2016 22:09:42 GMT 1, The effect of a nuclear strike on the aesthetics of a piece of art?! I would imagine that any art would be furthest from my thoughts.
Regarding these pieces, my opinion is that they are not great. His photographs remain the best thing I have seen Cartrain produce. I'd like to see more of those. Very good images of urban decay.

What makes you think he's going to be a big figure in anything but waistline? Kim Jong il, if we think about it wasn't really and it's been the same story with North Korea for 60 years. They will never use their weapons (if they really have them) because that's the only bargaining chip they have, and without them there's no rice or whiskey for Kim Jong un.
As to this type of art, I have no idea why people want images of mass murderers such as Mao Zedong, Saddam or in this case Kim on their walls. But each to their own. Interesting that to my knowledge no ones done a Hitler pop art...yet.
