Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by They call me Stephen on Sept 9, 2009 20:11:16 GMT 1, keep on trucking wiz...i'm sure if you keep your socks pulled up and your shoes polished you will make the grade
it's a shame that members cannot express their opinions without fear of getting banned. what is the point of a forum or place of discussion if cartrain certain subjects cannot be discussed when they happen to differ from managements point of view??

Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by Daniel Silk on Sept 9, 2009 21:21:57 GMT 1, "it's a shame that members cannot express their opinions"
Most of the people who are removed from this forum are done so to protect the freedom of speech of all the others, without being bullied and abused if they don't agree with them.
"certain subjects cannot be discussed when they happen to differ from managements point of view??"
Your point of view and my point of view are both as valid as eachother. Nobody is removed from the forum because of their opinion about anything! The problem occurs when they can't express their opinion in a way that also respects others. Swearing, abuse and threats against other members just because they don't agree with you are not acceptable, and those members run the risk of being removed.
Its as simple as that really anything else is just s**t that they throw into the mix to try and justify their actions.

IMO he's made an equal contribution... The young parasite has nerve but little substance, although I do admire his 'spunk'.

You banned me for what I thought was humour and wearology agreed with shortly before I was banned, without explanation until I asked you directly days after who was responsible.
Now your use of swearing (albeit with an asterisk) as humour kind of rankles me. If you don't want swearing, don't swear. Otherwise you just set an example that given the right scenario swearing is ok, hence where are we suposed to know when it is ok?

To start with you were not banned otherwise you would not now be posting. Using the S, F, C and other such words directed at People, Artists, Art and Galleries is not really welcome on this forum as its not respectful, and disrupts what could otherwise be a civilized discussion. Swearing is fine, as long as its used in a clearly fun and light hearted way.
I realize many people would rather not follow those guide lines, but from past experience they are normally the very first people to be contacting me about somebody being abusive to them.
I'm always happy to answer questions like this from people who are able to discuss things in a calm and civilized way, but I fear from past experience those people are few and far between
Hope that helps Thanks!

Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by robinbanks on Sept 11, 2009 10:54:24 GMT 1, After reading all the arguments and counter arguments and watching some of the vids I've come to the conclusion that Cartrain is just a stupid kid.
It makes sense really - his work has always lacked intelligence / originality.
This "prank" of his was neither clever nor funny. Surely it would have been much funnier (and a lot less illegal) to insert a piece of his own into Hirst's Pharamcy - maybe a pack of Hirst Sense of Humour Erasers or something along those lines (I dunno - I'm not the one pretending to be an artist)? Maybe then send Mr Hirst a bunch of flowers with a card saying he hoped he liked the gift - no hard feelings. Even make a humorous short 5 minute documentary about the whole ridiculous affair and post it on YouTube. And then let us all know about it.
But no - Cartrain is just a stupid kid. The trouble is, in the eyes of the law, he may well be stupid but he aint a kid. And so I fear this may be a very costly lesson for him to learn.

My girlfriend worked in posh restaurant in London and once Daryl Hannah gave her, her hand bag to look after. She rang me and I persuaded her to put something in the handbag. All she could find was a photo of a Chinese couple getting married. He he. I still imagine Daryl's confusion.
