i think the title of a piece can really make it, i like the 'ass-sole' title. i reckon it should be named this.

Cheers Matt, i appreciate it mate.
I am not a Fascist or racist, far from it. I chose to do the skins collection after being contacted by Gavin Watson a year or so ago, It reminded me of a time in my life, early eighties, doc martins, crombies, & harringtons. I love a bit of nostalgia
Origins of skinhead culture were much more linked to multi-racial Working Class unity. It was more about the music reggae, ska, northern soul being part of that culture or spring offs from it.
The Working Class, and music element are the maine reason for doing it. and I think its an intersting part of our history.
Thought this was quite interesting as well... 'Quote' In 1986, the Baldies, Americaโs first explicitly anti-racist Skinhead crew were formed in Minneapolis to combat the presence of neo-Nazi gang, the White Knights. In 1987, the first Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice (SHARP) branch opened up in New York City to combat media portrayals of Skinheads as violent racists and spread information about Skinhead cultureโs multi-racial history. They also vowed to rid New York of the racist Skinhead scene that was around in New York at the time. The SHARP model spread to other cities across the US and by 1988, there were SHARP branches in Europe as well. There have also been other anti-racist Skinhead groups, most notably RASH โ Red and Anarchist Skinheads.
Sorry for going on, Meaning - I will think of one. Did it for the image really.
Thanks to every body who have posted and Happy Easter

Craig Everett ๐ฌ๐ง Rourke Van Dal โข Urban Artist, by sahoria on Mar 24, 2008 0:58:10 GMT 1, Hello RV....
whenever you release new work i am always amazed... what i like is that your talent has many avenues and reaches so many people on different levels. I like the fact your art pieces never seemed to be rushed... i like the way you think about how the image will be and the reaction it will get.
the vibrant color on the sole of the foot is amazing but anyone else here loving the detail on the jumper? It is different style to your last release and think that is why i am liking this so much... you could have stuck to something you felt more safe in but it just shows you adapt and really i do think your work is flawless....
is it a uncomfortable image for me to see....? dont have answer to that because the more i look the more i like... i guess like any good artwork it gets the viewer to ask questions themselves... each person will interpret this in there own way and it is thought provoking art work.
Your detail in the artwork you produce really is inspiring to me as a fan of your art pieces...from your explanation of the art work it is like the image is "taking it back" to how it was if that makes sense? before all the stereotypes took over...
you should be very proud of this, if i had your skills would be proud myself..lol... your understanding of how to use color in your art works amazes me too...especially your older work of the red london bus... you have a knack of doing an art piece that has the color which sometimes comes off as the focal point of the image but then when the viewer looks past that there is something else in the background... something else that is of equal value to get the attention of the person viewing your work.
always be amazed by your work and congrats to such a thought provoking piece... s
(p.s hope your birthday went well too! )

Looks like it took a lot of time and love to produce. I'm not so sure that this guy looks as vicious as others have found him, in fact the cardigan is a bit nancy really! I think I'd call it "Wasn't dancing easy back then?" or "80's dancehall"
