I have been watching whats been available for a few months now. The issue is, of course, authentication. I am not interested in buying a piece for investment purposes. I genuinely appreciate his art. I would prefer the original to be authenticated/documented though.
Would this be possible given Neate has left so many pieces on the streets of London for a lucky collector? Most of which I have seen offered has been found, gifted, or sketched and no provenance could be provided.
Any help would be appreciated!

At the time someone wrote to me telling me they thought the pieces were fakes. I was in touch with Adam to see if he could help and he very kindly replied. The essence of his reply was that he had painted over 6000 different street pieces, and he could not remember them all or therefore authenticate them. He was aware that there were fakes in circulation at that time, copied from the montage which used to be on his website. I think this makes it very difficult to authenticate the street pieces. I was lucky, since one of mine was only present as a cropped image on his website. When I sent him a picture of the full image, he was able to confirm that it was an original. However, I think that this was very much the exception - and it's not for sale!
It would be interesting to know how many authenticated pieces are out there....

Besides that, some were authenticated by Adam by mail, for what its worth. For trained eyes fakes are possible to spot, although thats not a guarantee. There is one on here for sale that I believe is 100% real, and over the years I have not seen more than a handful of fakes, except for book sketches...
I believe adam does not authenticate any of the street pieces anymore.

Neate authentication , by mouser on Apr 18, 2012 8:37:02 GMT 1, There was a batch of street pieces that came through Urban Angel that had been authenticated by Adam back 2006/2007 time, certs were sent out with those pieces, but know they were the exception rather than the rule and several had been rejected during that process.
Those are the only officially authenticated / certified Neate street pieces that I am aware of.

Will be looking to add a cardboard piece in the near future....and a couple prints.
I think Adam is an incredible artist and unsure why he doesn't get much love around here any longer...association with Elms perhaps? I quite enjoy viewing his progress and to see him challenge his own talents. Not everything is my cup o tea, but he's quickly become a favorite of mine.

Very curious which one you have, I have seen all those CIDE pieces.. There have been a few on ebay lately, did you grab one of those?
Everyone is entitled towards their opinion about his management, but his talent is undisputable. Amazing artist!

Looks like Neate to me. Though the guy on the left looks a bit none adam style. You could message adam on instagram, and ask. I wouldnt think he will help as it looks like it was something he left on the street. I like it though. Let me know when you have a figure in mind
