Damien Hirst Spot Prints, by twist65 on Jan 26, 2012 16:51:06 GMT 1, thanks Ruggs! Benzy, Vipera and Lana all look awesome to me, ended up going for a Benzy, deckled edges, lower ed and bigass spots just swung it but would be happy with any of those in my new office, hope I get the decorating finished before it lands so can go straight on the wall =]

Now this one I like. I guess it's a woodcut as the colours look stronger. How much is this one?

Wow. I think it started at 3300 gbp. Must be near the final increment.

Seems the purchasing public has picked Benzy as the better/stronger print as both of these started out at about the same price.

Damien Hirst Spot Prints, by mace on Jan 29, 2012 6:54:50 GMT 1, Nearly finished the spot challenge. It's good to see the classics, I think they're great and important, but the newer ones, by themselves, don't have the same pull. I swear that a couple of the original pieces done aroudn the early 2000s are nearly identical to the ones our family owns (kinda feel ripped off). Overall, this will be an important event, it's a shame not everyone can get to see this ginormous body of work. As for the prices of the original and prints, they are relatively more affordable than what my mum and sis get into. Finding out that I was going abroad, they both got me to visit as many Hermes stores along the way. Now, them bags are expensive. I ended up getting some croc birkins that totalled 6-figures in costs. Ouch. I only have some calfskin travel luggage from Hermes, so I roughly knew what I was in for. However, one wouldn't expect croc leathers to be THAT hefty.
Is this a joke ?

Damien Hirst Spot Prints, by mace on Jan 29, 2012 13:47:19 GMT 1, "I only have some calfskin travel luggage from Hermes" Goddammit, where is Amnesty International when you really need them ? Geez mace, I didn't mean to stir, I was just putting things in perspective. BTW, I think you might be referring to an organisation more like PETA, not Amnesty International. There's actually no need for attitude when I've done nothing wrong. But besides that, to really enjoy this experience, you would probably need 1 month to take it all in. And to accomplish it in one month, you would have needed to have kicked off at the commencement of the exhibitions to really allow for a month that would include sightseeing too. Apart from juggling meetings with clients, the things I've done so far were to check out the other galleries, eat the local fare, drink at the watering holes, and check out the different places. The people that have completed the challenge, good on them, but to me it would have been a rush. It's better to take your time. I've had to break my challenge into 2 legs due to work requiring me to return to the home office. The first leg was Europe and HK. USA will be knocked off just about the end of next week. I can't give tips of travel and accommodation because that was paid for by work, but I did start in HK a day after the opening, and then headed west to Europe. I just returned yesterday (Australia) from that leg if that helps as any indication. Personally I would have preferred more time to explore Europe. If you are thinking to doing this challenge now, today or tomorrow would be you best chance at completing it (allowing a day in case of any setbacks). Any later than that and the odds are stacked against you. Good luck to those trying. The print will be a great memento.
No, I meant AI. Can't stand the brutal injustice that you only have those cheap Hermes calfleather bags and not those cute croc bags as your mummy and sissy.
Good luck with the challenge though.
