Not really, its just the bright coloured swirly thing i dont care for, reminds me of kids paintings when they throw all the paints on at once and see how it goes, i do like abstract works just not hers as it doesnt seem to me to have kind of thought process behind it. Like i say though thats only my opinion.

Will most likely pick up her work from a representing gallery . But if someone had a canvas , I would do a private deal.

I absolutely loves the paintings, and if I had the money she would be among the first artists on the buylist.
But it looks like she is productive and hardworking so there is a potential risk of reduced pricing for her work that is not among the best.
I would be very selective or look to get a bargain on a ok painting.

Yes, but only to me. And, as with all art... if you feel it's worth what you are paying then it's not overpriced. I'd say if you want one... get it. You won't regret it, you'll love looking at it every day and it will repay every pound you spend on it in terms of joy it brings you.

Personally, I am a big fan of vibrant, colourful pieces with lots of energy and movement. Katrins work fits perfectly into this category for me.



My personal taste lean towards the calligraphy based pieces, like the one above, from the "Bells Are Ringing" series (Bells Are Ringing 3). Other personal favourites are "Lady Picasso" and the "Punks" series. I had the money set aside before Christmas to purchase one of the book covers from POW, but I didn't think it worked too well when I saw it in the flesh (more to do with the paper buckling under the weight of the paint, than the image itself). If I had the money to buy one of her larger pieces I would buy it in a flash.

If you enjoy her work, buy it! I'd be more than happy to come round for a cuppa and coo over it if you do

Really like her work. I was looking online last week actually trying to find pieces of hers on sale to get an idea of prices. I found it pretty hard to be honest, pieces either seemed sold out or 'contact gallery for price'.
Where is a good place to find her work? What do prices start from? I presume she hasnt done any prints?

Really nice that Cardiff. These are the style of works of hers i like most, the black with areas of colour and large white space. I way prefer them to her other works where there is a lot going on, (no white space).

Easily accessible work that's almost too populist in nature (if that makes sense), the longer I study it, the less I tend to like it.

I'll try I liken the work to a massive slab of chocolate gateau it looks great and the first few mouthfuls are pleasurable.Then slowly you realise what a bad idea it was to eat it. It's work that easily liked, but loses it appeal over time. I guess I'm saying it's a bit empty, for me at least.

I'm going to to compare her stuff to Pollock's (which may or may not be fair, but hear me out). What I like about both their work is that you can see the energy and force behind the work, as if the act of creating it is the art itself. I do quite like her crayons pieces, probably too dear for my budget, but I like the energy, the "splash," the artist's actual hand doing the work, whatever you want to call it.

I feel exactly the same about her work. When I first saw her work 2 or 3 years ago I was like, wow. Now the excitement has faded, I'm left feeling cold by it. I obviously can see there is some skill/technique there, which she has cracked but that's where it ends for me.
