Katrin Fridriks 🇮🇸 Reykjavík, Iceland • Abstract Art , by graeme on Jun 9, 2018 18:28:27 GMT 1, It's a stunning print and beautifully framed.
However as a UK buyer, I could get the one off eBay at the moment on a £450 or offer price, frame it, and not have to worry about import duties or possible shipping damage, for a similar price.
One of the previous posts mentions it coming to London this week, Is that likely, or did I misunderstand?

Thanks
The inside dimensions of the window mount are 30x23 so would assume the work is 31x24 or thereabouts

Curious which larger piece are you looking to buy? Or the dimensions if you want to keep that private? I like the 1m2 pieces but those are so expensive.

Didn’t know Avant Arte offered a later edition of 98
Some of these were also available, mounted on wood I think, at her latest show with Circle Culture, for 2000€
So all in this isn’t a bad deal for someone looking for a little OG (or someone who already has the signed book)
As for the replacement piece, I will post it when the deal is done ;-)

Some interest in the Reflected piece but no deal yet. Happy to consider offers, but not very far off from asking as these are already at cost and cheaper than what it costs to get one from a gallery currently.
Am selling for convenience not necessity ;-)

Katrin Fridriks 🇮🇸 Reykjavík, Iceland • Abstract Art , by njr911 on Jun 13, 2018 9:34:25 GMT 1, After an expensive few weeks buying and framing I've come to the realisation that my Katrin Fridriks isn't going to get framed this year and it's a shame for it not to be displayed.
This was one of the few of the edition not to suffer dings in transit from the cool but unprotective packing.
It is still in it's original packing with the Avante tote bag but i have repackaged to avoid any issues with the corners getting dinged.
From the edition of 77 here are the details -
avantarte.com/works/waving-miracle-magic-mind-katrin-fridriks/
The print looks amazing in the flesh with the varnish really making the silvers pop.
There are a few on the bay for big money but I can't see any sales so open to offers under £1k.
Trades considered for art or Rolex sports watches
Please let me know if you would like any particular photos and I'll email them over, it's currently packaged and I didn't take photos when it arrived.
Cheers Neil

Katrin Fridriks 🇮🇸 Reykjavík, Iceland • Abstract Art , by atomic77 on Jun 29, 2018 9:33:19 GMT 1, You might have seen this thread in which gmidd laments the loss of 2 Fridriks prints... I was the lucky buyer.
This was my first art purchase on the secondary market (and my second purchase ever), so I was a bit wary I might be scammed. A brief read through his post history and a browse of Addicted2Art.com allayed my concerns.
I'm glad to report that he's everything you'd hope for in an art dealer! Courteous and offers great customer support - which was lucky since we had a serious issue with UPS delivery.
The package took nearly 3 weeks to be delivered just 300 miles. It passed through 15 stops across the country before turning up crushed and battered. The prints were creased in half despite about 2 inches of protection. Worst of all, they denied the insurance claim on a technicality that there was insufficient bubble wrap - as if that would've prevented them from being bent!
The situation was tense given the high value of the loss, but graciously, Geoff/gmidd offered to refund me out of his own pocket, and we agreed a settlement that was heavily in my favour (leaving him something for the residual value of the damaged prints).
So thank you Geoff/gmidd! I can fully recommend his services if looking to purchase art. I'd be glad to buy you a drink if you find yourself visiting any galleries in Toronto.

G This is happening all the time, prints being damaged. Expensive prints should be sent flat in tissue/acid free folder between two pieces of plywood. While the plywood is light its also very strong. Yes the size will cost more to ship but i'm sure this can be worked out between buyer and seller. I don't know how many times i see people trying to save 50/80 pounds/dollars on shipping when the art is worth thousands. You can buy the plywood in most DIY stores and they cut it to the size you need. After a bad experience myself, this is really a good way to ship.

When it did get here it had no top on the tube, no wrapping inside (it was wrapped) and damaged so much it went in the bin.

Sorry to hear about the incident:(. Glad to hear the two of you were able to sort it out though, clearly hard to take a hit like that. As far as your framing goes though, I’d take a second thought about that dry mounting. That’s more cringe worthy than the condition of the prints in my opinion. Clearly the value of them at this point is minmimal, but you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who’d touch a dry mounted print. I suppose if you fully intend on owning them forever and just want them to look as good as possible it’s understandable, but I don’t think I could bring myself to dry mount anything haha.

USPS is a bit worst than UPS.. and like you said, if you look to save 50-80$ on the packing for a thousands works, either for shipping method... I used maybe above 100’s of time UPS international priority shipping (2/3days to anywhere worldwide), cost a bit more rather than a standard shipping, but u are insured and personally never ever had an issue..

Katrin Fridriks 🇮🇸 Reykjavík, Iceland • Abstract Art , by Artforfun on Jul 8, 2018 13:44:09 GMT 1, Hi all
Selling Katrin Fridriks' print King of Awakening & Awareness from AvantArte at cost which was 830EUR at the time (inc shipping).
Print is still packed in the bulletproof shipping crate it came with from AvantArte thus no pics available, but hopefully everyone knows what this beauty looks like.
Great print (sure others can chime in on that), but moving collection more towards smaller originals so letting this go at cost.
Print can be inspected in person in Berlin (never unpacked thus far).
Personal pickup is preferred, but print can be shipped at buyer's expense (actual cost with DHL).
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!
