I am waiting for written confirmation from Lazariedes gallery regarding ownership of this print." First off did Laz record names with numbers? Secondly is any written confirmation getting sent out? My understanding was the receipt was going to be your only proof of purchase.
Yes, LAZ did assign names to numbers but as far as i am aware, nothing further is being sent out and there are no COAs. As you say above, the receipt was the proof of purchase. However, they could perhaps in theory check names for ppl but dont know if they would do this.

Don't know about London but in LA they were recording the names of every people buying them. Each print number was registered to those who bought it. I remember people ask for some kind of proof but they were saying they can contact Lazinc.com to confirm who the print is registered to.
Personally I don't really regard the receipt as COA...
If someone really wants to play dirty receipt is minimal problem.
What do you think guys???

So, they do have the information of who bought which prints. Now, as to whether or not LAZ will provide a level of service to verify the registered name for the prints, that, I am not sure about.
