Just because they may not have the intricate detail of say Conor Harrington I don't think it makes the image any less effective?
To throw something else into the mix on what Stik does not being real art, how is it any different to what Invader does with his tiles? Invader didn't even creaste the image he uses, he stole it. But that does make it any less brilliant.
Never seen many of these pieces, they look the business.

art is anything anyone perceives as such, set out the parameters of what makes an image more or less effective and we can discuss that.
as for invader I'd suggest he commands more respect purely for getting up a lot more than Stik, in a lot more places, illegally. Whether either is anymore valid in terms of artistic expression would be down to personal taste.

Stik's work isn't my cup of tea but it provoked a hell of a lot of response, which my betters inform me is what art is supposed to do. Its interesting to see what some members can say without incurring the wrath of god though.

sounds inspiring.....
as for Hirst... spots, pickled animals, cows head, medicine cabinets, skulls, spins and butterflys. IMO at least, that sounds like a variety of work

Invader doesnt actually use rubics cubes in the majority of his street work so that is not his dominant theme imo... perhaps tiles would have been a better choice? or... as the majority of his work is in the form of space invaders, how about.... Invader??
