Stik Walk Print, by letiss on Apr 16, 2012 19:17:59 GMT 1, Maybe i should'nt of ridiculed my mate for saying he was going a day early.
I got the last print release after queuing for about an hour and there were only 20 available. But some people had spent all day waiting so who knows on this release.
Taken a cheeky flexi day on Thursday just in case. Don't really know where this gallery is but hopefully there's a pub next to it that's got a nice porcelain throne and a decent lunch menu

Stik Walk Print, by Tommy Tucker on Apr 17, 2012 8:40:51 GMT 1, I think it's very easy for a certain (So called) artist to criticise an artist that has found success while they sit on the bench waiting for their big break to come along. I just hope that when this (So called) artist releases their next piece they reap what they sow.

Stik Walk Print, by 11 on Apr 17, 2012 9:48:55 GMT 1, Started reading a Stik Thread and then began to feel perhaps I'd inadvertently jumped to the over hyped prints thread......
Oh, and why is it that everyone can have an opinion yet when an artist offers one it is the green-eyed monster speaking. Remi is a well established and well respected artist - very unnecessary to start having little digs just cos he is an active contributor on these forums.......
now, back to that overhyped thread....sorry I meant Stik thread XD

So called artist?! theres no need for this kind of reaction to someones honest opinion on a open forum!!
Just because you dont agree with it doesn't mean you should slate the person writing it! Every view posted on here is a personnel opinion, they're not falsing you to agree with it they're just voicing there opinion!! Remi dosent need me to fight his battles but i think you should read a bit about the guy before you accuse him of sitting around on a bench waiting for a big break, hes had a few!!

Stik Walk Print, by brooksie82 on Apr 17, 2012 10:59:19 GMT 1, Though I don't have a soft spot for Remi, and his art isn't my thing, as well as him looking a bit like George Michael, he is a well known artist though, and a lot more respected than this Stik guy amongst collectors and other artists.
His opinion is quite spot on and has nothing to do with jealousy, infact I've spoken to a few well known artists about Stik and get a lot of head shaking/eye rolling.
Another bit of tatty PR and over hype, it'll fly up and crash down.

Stik Walk Print, by Happy Shopper on Apr 17, 2012 11:12:10 GMT 1, I don't get the negativity towards Stik, especially coming from other Street Artists. Yes, his work may not appear skilled, but what he does is quite unique and brings smiles to peoples faces. (At least he's not another stencil artist, or painting the same old clichรฉd images) And yes, it may be over hyped, but I'd still like one of his prints (haven't managed to get one yet), and I'm sure there's others that feel the same... hence some demand.

Funny, i've spoken to alot of artists and in general they say fair fucking play to him, he does what he does. very few artists i know would begrudge any other artist anything. Guess thats the difference between street artists and non street artists tho, street artists (real street artists) dont give a shit at all, its gallery artysts (spelt with a y to distinguish them) who seem to care about what other artists are doing....

I agree with ya, i cant believe many of the folks bitching about his work and prices etc would had said thesame about Harring , child like drawings? simp0le yet affective?
Had the discussion with someone about Hirst recently being a con artist etc, i said well if you made a skull and someone wanted to buy it for 50 quid and another person wanted to pay 200k what would you take? well the 200k of course was the reply

He could of very easily become another statistic.

Strange, because its the Graf/Street Artists that don't show too much in galleries that have called Stik out to be total trip.

So it seems there's no nude? Also a new shade of blue on the left?
I'd really love to see a green version at some point
Still no info on the time of release though. I hope it's not random. People gotta work.
