Lee Ellis π¬π§ Painting β’ Show News β’ Art For Sale, by Dr Plip on Jan 7, 2015 11:39:20 GMT 1, New piece added to the site, but not available just yet as it's till drying. If only I used acrylicsβ¦ I used a Prussian Blue once, that after 2 years, still hadn't dried. When I sold it, I just had to tell the new owner not to touch the trousers on it.
There's just something lovely about oil paint though. You can't rush it, but the effect is worth it.

I've been drawing with the tubes for my abstract work, which means it's incredibly thick and taking forever and a day to dry! I'm eager to get them online though as I'm having a lot of positive feedback on them!

Every day, I was trying to find somewhere new to poke it. It tries your patience doesn't it? Especially when it's finished and ready to go. I have a dog as well!

There's lovely texture and spontaneity in your new work. I love it.

They have also walked through my paint palette once or twice so there are blue paw prints throughout the house!
Constantly finding the odd hair while the paint is drying too. Everyday I'm poking the paint to see if it moves under the surface., I have a couple almost there though.
Thank you. It's a new technique for me and it really becomes expressive and free!

I've had great feedback so far. People are really liking them, but sales are slow / non existent it's a tough time of year though as you said.
