This is to coincide with the Wokingham Festival which has live bands and various other forms of family entertainment. I have a few artists already pencilled in so should be a cool event. The purpose of this event is to raise money for the ollie young foundation a charity set up to help young children, and their families, with brain tumours.
Over the weekend we will be running an auction of artwork, again to raise funds for the charity. I am looking for any donations of artwork that we may be able to use, whether it be your own work or something you have tucked away in a folder or your loft that may never make the wall or, indeed, daylight.
I am also looking for sponsors to help pay for paint and/or help cover accommodation for the artists that have travelled many miles to help with the event.
I am expecting nothing, so anything I do get will be a bonus. A lot of people will be working very hard over the next few months to make this work and raise funds for, what I feel, is a very good cause. Unfortunately I am not Banksy and my work doesn't sell for the amounts his does so I have to turn to others. (By the way if you do know him, I lied this for a deaf charity ;-)) Seriously, if you can help in any way it would be greatly appreciated, if not then thank you for taking time to read this and if you can spare a minute have a look at the Ollie young foundation. At least I will have raised awareness!
