There is certainly some truth in what you say.
It's more likely that we will own something by the artists we like the most. It's more likely that we will rave about the artists we like the most.
I guess the hyping comes in when people start claiming work will increase in value/defo sell out etc.
(not saying that's what you have done free range. )

Any show where 90% of the work is words on canvas taking the piss out of the punters attending, telling them they're shallow only buying something because of it's (possible) monetary value [future investment] and trendiness is cool in my books.
Will post some photos wen I can b arsed as I'm sure most people would prefer to b chatting about print releases, costs, print values rising and how they're gonna hav to raise their bed because the portfolio under it is getting too fat.
