Moniker Art Fair, by Cardiff on Oct 9, 2014 3:22:08 GMT 1, Her work is something that I either love, or don't care for at all for (ends up on either end of the spectrum for me). Faith seems to be incredibly cool and appreciative of the attention her work has gotten (when I've emailed her directly I've gotten exceptionally genuine responses that I've taken as representative of her genuine passion for what she does). I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can eventually find a piece that ticks all the boxes for me...she is definitely the kind of artist I would love to support and I would be very happy to have one of her pieces on the wall.

Your latest Art Purchase?, by Cardiff on Sept 22, 2014 20:20:54 GMT 1, Thanks for all the kind remarks about the BOXI/Takamatsu. The "Embrace" image has been my avatar since I joined the forum...been my favorite BOXI image for years and I'm thrilled that he was willing to commission the piece for me.
As cliche as it sounds, Takamatsu's work simply needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. I absolutely love it.
Cardiff, the Boxi and Takamatsu look fantastic and the placement works well. Have to say, the Boxi looks better there than the other piece which was there (although that was a very nice piece of art too). Thanks Rkitek! I'm about to start a major remodel and it's looking like that wall is going to be eliminated and replaced by a LaCantina wall of glass. Thankfully, I'm going to be creating some art friendly walls in other parts of the house.
Where can we buy Takamatsu?! I'd sell a massive chunk of my collection to get some of those baby's! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
Gallery Tomura in Japan, Corey Helford in LA and I believe Dorothy Circus in Italy...from what I've found, there's not much available on the secondary or outside of his exhibitions.

David Walker London SHOW + Book signing!!!, by Cardiff on Sept 18, 2014 3:42:40 GMT 1, Love those pieces JohnnyH...fantastic! I gave my wife this commissioned piece of her with our 1 year old son right before we had #2...will always have a special place in our hearts as a reminder of a time when our whole world revolved around that little guy (who's now almost 6). David was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Real art collectors , by Cardiff on Sept 4, 2014 7:39:46 GMT 1, mr johnny ... you do seem to have been v angry in the past few weeks or so and jumping down peoples' throats, v quickly mr gripes ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ... not saying that sometimes I did not agree with you. I like cardiff & I like you. Dappy Just thought a lot of this thread complains about it's just about prints and sales. Read it it follows all the way through....9 pages of it. Yet it's pretty easy to turnaround. Just create more art threads and spend less time on the forsale threads. cardiff's point "shows what a terrible place it has become as no mention of the Ian Francis show" it was just as easy to create a thread on the Ian Francis show. So not hard to see why I thought it was daft so not angry at all mate All is good with Mr Johnny and myself. I've enjoyed my offline interaction with him and understand on some level why he may have been so frustrated with my original post. While my point was not exactly what was stated above, it was a poorly articulated expression of my frustration and disappointment of the current state of this forum.
During my limited time of participating here I've found tons of inspiration and substance, and I've connected and transacted with some fantastic collectors that I consider "friends" even though I've never met many of them in person. I love seeing people's collections, hearing what inspires them and seeing how they live with their art. This forum has exposed me to a ton of great artists and perspectives that I wouldn't have had another line of sight to and I'm thankful for that.
My frustration comes from the fact that my recent experiences here have been significantly less substantive and rewarding. To Johnny's point, I'm no one to point fingers as I don't contribute much content myself. I'm simply too busy with work, preschool, kindergarten and life to invest much time posting here. It seems I should really probably just keep my "reply" button silent going forward and appreciate the generous contributions that are made by more active and engaged forumites.
Sorry if this response was off topic, but I'm not really sure what this thread was about to begin with. Carry on with your fighting...cheers!

Your latest Art Purchase?, by Cardiff on Sept 3, 2014 18:02:52 GMT 1, Far Away Lovely (San Francisco) does some cool stuff with taxidermy. Still unsure if the bucks are real or if its just the Antlers, regardless, I cant get these to Canada with the laws. To have Taxidermy or antlers you have to have a license, and the animals tag must match your license. $10K fine otherwise... Regardless, I love these Pendelton Bucks. ![](http://i59.tinypic.com/2ef6jqx.png) I love this...sent Chase an email inquiry. Thanks for sharing hxfour!

Real art collectors , by Cardiff on Sept 2, 2014 15:15:08 GMT 1, Wowโฆthanks Johnny for reassuring my feelings that this place is broken (always enjoyed interacting with you and hearing your opinions/advice regarding Neateโฆbit surprised to get my head bit off by you this early in the morning for making what seems like an obvious observation).
I only meant that I'm surprised that there's 9 pages of fighting about nonsense and no one talking abut what I feel are interesting exhibitions that are coming up/going on (Neate included)โฆand yes, I share some blame for not posting meaningful content about these topics. I think I'm ready for a break from here. Cheers!

Your latest Art Purchase?, by Cardiff on Aug 7, 2014 15:11:47 GMT 1, I always wonder about artists that almost exactly copy other artists work... especially when they have obvious talent ... maybe just limited creativity. It is nice, but it doesn't really match the beauty of the original.
Fair point Kultur. Jason is definitely a talented painter...it will be interesting to see if his creative output catches up to his technical skills. As for this Cosmo Crossing piece, I reached out to Jason quite a ways back after seeing the piece Neil had posted and asked if there was anything he was really passionate about painting. He sent across the Jack Crossing image (which I have always loved) and I said give it a go.
