Philly?, by Cardiff on Jan 17, 2013 1:10:47 GMT 1, I've got to be in Philadelphia for a meeting this Friday morning and don't fly out until late afternoon...anyone got any suggestions for interesting galleries, museums, areas, etc.? I've been there a few times but have always been holed up in meetings/dinners and haven't seen the sights. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Philly?, by ecb on Jan 19, 2013 19:39:54 GMT 1, This is one of the coolest museums i have been to. It's a little under the radar but well worth the time. I just read the site because i thought this was free but it is not. Its $20 for double admission to this and Penn's Museum (or $15 for just addmission to the Mutter), which is also very cool and under the radar for Philly. I guess all of this depends on what you like. Either way, the Mutter Museum is close to Rittenhouse Square and I would recommend eating at Barclay Prime, or one of the many other great places to eat in the Square. The square itself has always been a great place to meet others and is generally a great place to meet and hang out. Enjoy!!

Philly?, by Cardiff on Jan 21, 2013 0:41:56 GMT 1, Thanks for all the recommendations...
Unfortunately, work dominated my time there and I didn't get to follow up on any of the art suggestions.
Good news was, both of the meals we had there were at Starr restaurants (dinner at Talula's Garden and ironically, lunch at Amada...good call Otto, it was great). Having had a great meal recently at Buddakan in NYC...gotta say, all of their concepts seem to deliver.
