Geddes FS, by Warm Gun on Mar 2, 2013 23:51:52 GMT 1, alittle, I don't own this print and am not interested in getting one but seeing as you decided to value the print based on recent sales, I had a quick look on ebay at completed listings (just one of several sales outlets, I'm sure)
I couldn't see any that had sold for the £350 sum that you claimed is now the going rate, in fact I couldn't even see a completed sale for anything near the seemingly fictional sum of £350. It actually looks like the going rate is in fact considerably more than that.
Recent 'completed' sales show figures of £495, £499.67, £499.67, £453.01, £499, and £475.38. Now, like I said, I have no investment in the print and to be honest, I don't personally like it too much, but I do get annoyed when people talk nonesense regarding supposed completed sales and going rates for something when what they are saying is simply not true, as a two minute search on ebay help proves. (perhaps you have sales figures from other sources that I'm not aware of)
Do you have a vested interest (other than claiming to own one) as I can see no other reason to publicly low ball the perceived value of a print unless you were interested in getting one for a knocked down price.

Geddes FS, by Warm Gun on Mar 3, 2013 0:24:47 GMT 1, Pointing out one week old sales thread for prints that may or may not have sold for under £400 does not mean that the going rate of the print is now £350. Completed listings on ebay tell another story, you can't have it both ways when trying to put a value on a print. Also, and somewhat unfortunately for your argument, completed sales do register on ebay and we can all see them. In fact they are even recorded on the expressobeans site. I'm sure the odd deal is struck outside of ebay (and therefore doesn't register as a sale) but neither of us would know that would we? as using your logic, we can't see them so we can't use those figures when valuing something can we? We can only really use the completed ebay sales that have feedback both ways (even that is open to manipulation as we all know). Either way, I can't see a single recent sale of this print for the £350 that you claim is now the going rate. I'd be very interested if you could prove me otherwise......with actual real sales evidence rather than a 'just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't true' argument. I can't see fairies, goblins or a single decent Arsenal footballer, do any of those exist?

Geddes FS, by andyroo0312 on Mar 3, 2013 17:25:52 GMT 1, A quick look on EB shows 68 sales with a 6mth average of $764 US. The last recorded sale was a private EB sale between members that was $583 and ebay sales of $750 $625,$630 and $750 within the last 3 weeks.. Just being helpful...

Geddes FS, by tomawal on Mar 4, 2013 12:53:28 GMT 1, Thanks everyone,
I think the value of £350 is an error. Thanks to andyroo, it is correct is something interested for this print?
Thomas
