It is slightly annoying..., by kunstrasen on Mar 30, 2013 18:17:07 GMT 1, ...that threads with the latest posts are not automatically bumped to the top in this section. Why on earth is that now?

It is slightly annoying..., by Warm Gun on Mar 30, 2013 18:25:29 GMT 1, Silky changed it as he thought people were taking the pi$$ with all the thread bumping that was going on. You can no longer bump your own sales thread (unless you have a second account, like many on here do)

It is slightly annoying..., by connecta1 on Mar 30, 2013 19:50:44 GMT 1, ...so everyone will just have to create new sales threads to get theirs back to the top again, creating a much bigger problem than people bumping threads excessively (which wasn't really a problem with the first place and would have been much more effectively sorted with a bit of extra short-term moderation and a sticky at the top of the page)
Brilliant.

It is slightly annoying..., by Coach on Mar 30, 2013 21:52:35 GMT 1, I agree. This is what I said about it in the List of Problems to help Silky thread yesterday. This remains my view.
I agree. There is nothing wrong with buying or selling art per se. Its part and parcel of being a collector. Tastes change. New temptations arise. Its only a problem if it dominates the forum. Forum polices it's self pretty well. Cant see the problem with bumping threads. Most people know when they are flogging a dead horse and stop.

It is slightly annoying..., by kunstrasen on Mar 31, 2013 8:43:03 GMT 1, Wasn't aware that there is already a discussion going on about this...hope this will be changed again though. After all the bumping wasn't that bad and what is wrong with the sale threads being about selling? Most people on here are not on every day and with the current system it is more difficult to keep track of what is for sale and probably selling becomes close to impossible, which the sales section of the forum is about though I guessed...

It is slightly annoying..., by Poppy Sunshine on Mar 31, 2013 10:14:03 GMT 1, The whole site has been ruined. If there is a reset button I'd seriously suggest someone presses it. I have a completely different set of issues on the laptop to the problems on the ipad but both are a pain in the *rse.

silk, abort and be done with it.
Your site is dying due to the attrition you're foisting on us.

I often don't understand what they are talking about. My ignorance, no doubt. Different interests a lot of the time too. Lots about film posters. As I said, no disrespect intended. Horses for courses

It is slightly annoying..., by Daniel Silk on Apr 3, 2013 16:13:20 GMT 1, Some of my threads were merged...title was not changed. The whole sales section is a mess. At this point Im going to ebay before I come here which is something I never did in the past. Please read - urbanartassociation.com/thread/92415/read-before-posting
So why do you feel like you need a thread for each and every item you want to sell?

It is slightly annoying..., by Daniel Silk on Apr 3, 2013 16:50:55 GMT 1, Never did, but I noticed I am not the only one to start doing this since we can no longer bump our posts. Just a way to keep things on the first page instead of getting multiple items all in one post lost on page "X". What about a system where you can bump your posts once every 24/48 hours? Why do you need to bump?
If you and a few other members stopped making threads for each item and bumping it all each day, nobody including yourself would need to bump anyway. All your thinking about is yourself and how you can use the board just to your advantage. You dont need your thread at the top of the page, If people really want to buy something then they will look down the page and even a few pages back, and remember they can run a search in the sales section.

Thank you for calling me selfish I greatly appreciate that considering I constantly try to help other members whenever they have questions or get them in touch with artists they like for commissions or A/Ps. I think Ill just take a break from here for awhile, the threads in almost all sections seem to be getting more negative and hostile anyways.
