Printing Artwork for Sale - Some Advice, by psycho666 on Apr 15, 2013 23:17:15 GMT 1, I'm not sure if this is the right place but I thought I'd ask...
Can anyone give me some advice on getting artwork printed?
The sort of artwork that I might get printed wouldn't be screen printed. I'd be looking for high quality digital prints on nice 250-300gsm paper.
I've been working on some digital artwork and it's coming along but I think I want to go for a slightly unusual paper size, rather than A4, A3, etc.
I'm looking for something similar to 16:9 but close to A3 (landscape)... say, 42.5 x 24cm.
Is there a standard paper that is close to this and would keep printing costs down?
I might also be looking for a good digital printer in the London area, so any recommendations there would be great.
This is just a quick post before I go to bed but I'll check back in the morning.
Cheers,
Psycho666

Printing Artwork for Sale - Some Advice, by adewilliams on Apr 16, 2013 10:10:20 GMT 1, check out Riso printing, depends on how many colours you want to print but a lovely form of printing low cost art prints. Closer to screen printing than digital. You will find Riso printers in London.

Printing Artwork for Sale - Some Advice, by psycho666 on Apr 18, 2013 18:46:16 GMT 1, Thanks for all the replies!
I suddenly got really busy with my day job this week and haven't had time to reply.
I'm still considering a standard size but I just need to play about with the design to see if it will look as good.
Once I have about 5-10 finished designs then I'll start getting print quotes and then set up a website.
This might take some time depending on how busy I am, but I thought I'd start asking questions now.
Cheers,
