This is the first proper print release from the legendary Filthy Luker. His signature 'Art Attacks' involving hand crafted inflatable sculptures pop up around the world as large scale street art installations, at exhibitions and at festivals. His witty 'Street Life' projects usually involving sticking eyes on inanimate objects attract thousands of views online.
This particular image was taken at the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol as part of the Crimes Of Passion exhibition.
The print is a hand numbered edition of 75 and each one is signed by the artist.
The print is done on the finest quality Hahnemรผhle Paper and is 594 x 420mm (A2) in size.

We're hoping this will be the first in a run of prints by him, looking back at some of his classic pieces. They've actually gone down really well, which is great!

I guess the same could be said of the majority of street art prints, because, hey, they are 'street' art after all. You're always going to lose some of the power of the image in the transition from street to paper. I think where these come into their own is just the quality of the print. We spent a while looking through Filthy's image archive and felt this was such a strong image and the finished product is, as anyone who came to our show knows, really lovely.
Which of his pieces would you guys like to see as a print next out of interest?

I wonder if you'd have had the same reservations when ordering a Banksy, or any other artists work, from the POW... I'll post up a photo of the print itself for you. Who's to say he's not going to release mini sculptures. As it happens, this is a print release, and all his fans who've ordered the prints seem perfectly content with these for the time being...
