Happens Every Day, by Cardiff on Jul 17, 2013 1:28:49 GMT 1, So I've had this piece on the wall for a few months now...I love the image, I love the framing, but in all honesty, this color way simply doesn't sit well on the wall in our house (over the last three months it's been on just about every one of our walls trying to make it work). I will take more detailed pics when I have a chance, but here are a few to get started. It's from the original edition although the colors seem to be quite a bit stronger than the others I've seen from that edition.
If any of you have something you would be interested in trading for this, please let me know. I'm happy to add cash on my side if anyone has something of greater value that they want to trade out. The artists I'm most interested in are...
Faile (originals, HED oversold edition, Butterfly Girl), Ian Francis OGs, Herakut, Neate, Parla, Choe, etc..
I'm located in SoCal for anyone interested in a face to face deal (or if you want to see the piece). The framing is fantastic with all archival materials. The piece is floated roughly 1/2 inch off the backing and the red trim is a tasteful mica chip material that picks up on all the different pinks/reds in the piece. It has UV acrylic, and may even be shippable framed (although I'm not crazy about doing that). The piece itself is in perfect shape with tons of heavy brushstrokes, thick paper, etc..
I'm happy to provide forum references if necessary. Let me know what you got?

If it were mine - I'd consider changing the mount and box frame to white. Or maybe talk to your framer about some other options as you clearly love the piece.
That said, if you do decide to part with it.......... Good Luck

Happens Every Day, by Cardiff on Jul 17, 2013 14:31:39 GMT 1, Thanks for the comments, framing suggestions and inquiries. I've had a lot of people PM asking if I'd consider selling it, and if so, what price am I looking for? My preference would really be to find a trade and I'll probably keep that option open for a little while to see what's offered. In full disclosure, I've got just over $6K into this (including the framing costs). If someone is really interested in buying, I'd be silly not to consider offers, but I'm really not interested in selling for less than my cost.
One other note, I've got a trusted friend who's going to be flying to London in a few weeks who could hand-carry the print with him and ship it anywhere in the UK once he gets there (unframed of course). I don't know what sort of import tax duty savings that translates to, but I thought I'd mention it.

Happens Every Day, by Cardiff on Jul 20, 2013 23:08:05 GMT 1, I've been offered a lot of nice trades, but nothing that is really hitting the mark for me. In response to the pieces I listed as possible trades, I have been offered a couple of very tempting pieces for sale, one of which I would like to act upon. I would therefore like to offer this for sale at the price I paid four months ago.
I just dug out my receipts to check and I paid $5,548 (3,500GBP) to buy this shipped/insured and spent just over $700 on framing. If someone's interested, I'd be looking for...
$5,500 + shipping (at cost) for the print $6,000 framed with local pickup
Let me know if you're interested.
