Which other artists else do you think are guilty as charged? My list is pretty long!

Meaningless art, by graffuturism on Sept 20, 2013 3:34:20 GMT 1, I wouldnt want to hurt anyones feelings by naming names and it wouldnt be real constructive, and it would be just another argument style thread. Yet I will say and I have said it before that until Real art critics that can speak on graffiti/urban/street art and be knowledgable about it, we are stuck with galleries dictating taste and consumers creating markets that they know nothing about. Great salesmen and PR machines make great artists in this genre.
Great art does exist and some of those artists are rewarded yet so many subpar artists are also rewarded that dont deserve it. I put some blame on buyers and some galleries that arent looking longterm with their acquisitions and also their curating. Not all galleries or collectors are guilty but there is alot of market saturation that over time will level off, and many of these buyers will be out alot of money and the galleries long gone with great profits during the good times.
There is not much curating going on as well in todays gallery shows, there are no essays being written about the artists work even if it were paid essays an academic or educated wrtier could alteast shed some light on the artists work. Yet it is what it is we can only do our part and hope others do theirs.

Meaningless art, by jonnyx on Sept 20, 2013 23:31:40 GMT 1, Brainwash and his artistically stunted progeny, imo they make all of urban art a laughing stock and it does us all down in the long run. Likewise Bambi (although I do feel sorry for her reading her quotes in the other thread). Work by these 'artists' is almost beyond bad. It's utterly meaningless, facile, empty and vacuous. And it makes me awfully sad.
