L'Atlas & Thomas Canto Exhibition - Castanier Gallery, by Gard on Sept 24, 2013 14:46:45 GMT 1, Is it me or is L'Atlas looking a bit like Cashman at this exhibition? Like his earlier work, but this doesn't do it for me.

L'Atlas & Thomas Canto Exhibition - Castanier Gallery, by graffuturism on Sept 24, 2013 19:02:14 GMT 1, All atlas work is letter based and involves his name. He has been working in this style for some time the color shifts creates more readable pieces and some look pure abstract but are the same letters. Also half the work was black light themed and each painting would come with its own programmed black strobe light that gives different effects of the working moving in and out. It's a shame they weren't able to exhibit this aspect of his paintings.

L'Atlas & Thomas Canto Exhibition - Castanier Gallery, by Feral Things on Sept 24, 2013 21:00:40 GMT 1, I'd have loved to have seen the show in person, but that was never going to happen, so I'm really grateful for you posting your photos. I was most looking forward to seeing L'Atlas' pieces and hadn't really heard much about Thomas Canto but I love his work in this show. The string and wire seem to almost entirely blur the line between what's 2D, illusionary and fictional and what's 3D, real and tangible. Really interesting work.
