The big dealers and galleres find rich buyers and the rich buyers and big dealers get the art into the mainstream media which creates a hype.
In reality why would anyone pay half a million for a basic sprayed stencil picture ?
For the art itself or for the name and the investment potential?
Banksy is free to spray on peoples walls and surely the owners of the walls are free to do what they want with their property.
If some big money dealer comes along and buys a pice of their property to re sell.
