1964 to 1992 (Life 1) - Miami Marine Stadium plays hosts to a wide array of events. Power boat racing, boxing, and music events featuring Sammy Davis Junior, Elvis, Ray Charles, Sade, Steppenwolf, Queen, Elton John, Gloria Estefan & Jimmy Buffett.
1992 - Miami Marine Stadium is damaged by Hurricane Andrew and shuttered by the city of Miami
1992 to Today (Life 2) - Miami Marine Stadium is an active graffiti pennant. The history of Miami Street Art is documented on its walls. Local writers cover the walls, Jose Parla skateboarded on the roof as a young man, artists from around the world have created on this massive concrete canvas.
2008 - Friends of Miami Marine Stadium is formed to help protect this historic site from demolition by developers looking to build hotel / condo properties on this prime waterfront real estate.
2009 - The Worlds Monument Fund, the foremost organization worldwide devoted to the preservation of architectural and cultural sites, named the Marine Stadium to its 2010 Watch List (significant endangered sites).
2010 - Miami-Dade County Commissioners passed a resolution to allocate $3-million to the stadium to start its historical preservation and return it as a venue for water sports and major concerts.
2010 to Today - FOMMS has worked tirelessly in brining this historic site back to use to be operated for public interest.
2014 - FOMMS, Kondoit & Art Whino are producing a mural project that will honor the second life of the stadium, attract attention to the mission of returning this beautiful building back to use and raise funds by producing a limited edition series of prints based on the murals produced at the stadium.
