Banksys at Christies Prints sale., by Forbidden Love on Apr 14, 2014 15:02:35 GMT 1, the golf sale DOES have COA
the CND was subject to coa but im nearly 100% certain Christie's wont sell a Banksy print without the COA.

Banksys at Christies Prints sale., by Jeezuz Jones Snr on Apr 17, 2014 21:59:19 GMT 1, $23,000 for a signed CND. Nuts. Pre 2010 you could get that on ebay for what $6 or 7k maybe??? The derth of Banksy releases over the past several years have really driven prices up. I regretfully sold a couple in the past, I practically gave them away by today's prices, but back then I figured I'd probably be able to score more in the future from POW. Don't believe that will ever happen again now. I have 4 prints left and it would take a serious amount of dough to get me to part with them now.
Yes they keep increasing, so what does a donut go for these days?

Banksys at Christies Prints sale., by lee3 on May 15, 2014 1:37:14 GMT 1, ^ It went unsold and was bid/chandeliered to $260k and then passed. I found it surprising as I thought it would appeal for a variety of reasons and with hindsight i could not have been more wrong. To my eyes that is exponentially better than the Rembrandt piece Phillips was able to get ~$700k for recently but I don't make the rules. Given that it stopped at 260, I presume the reserve was 270/280 hammer (+ 50ish for premium). Since nobody was interested at 330, perhaps 280-300 all in (which is not to suggest that's not a ton of money) could get it done post sale but pure speculation on my part.

Maybe not enough eyes on it? Thanks for the update.

I was surprised it didn't sell too. A strong piece in my eyes, much better than others that have sold for more, but who knows anymore. One of the under-bidders (friend) is now in talks with Christies and I suspect it's not far from being sold post sale as Lee suggested. I wonder how auctions decide when to be flexible on the fees, and with whom.
